That was Robert Kochman, who was the show's senior producer since 1992. He was fired, I believe, just a couple weeks into the Wheeler regime in 2004. I believe he tried to send the cast a farewell letter and PGP/Wheeler confiscated them or something.

You are right, it was Beth. I was just on such a Cassie rant that I was typing her name everywhere!

God, I remember that. Everybody knew it was for his toy boy too, so really P&G should take its share of the blame for green-lighting a clearly ridiculous waste of money.

I also remember how blindingly, brightly lit the show was under Conboy.

Oh, yes, we are into Conboy now. And, said boy toy, Marty West, sold videos of himself as a wrestler out of his car! Plus, he had such a baby face & was so pudgy. Remember when he was putting the moves on someone & his standard issue gray sweatpants dropped almost to his knees? I shudder just to think of ConWest & Marty Boy, both!

How tacky!

No wasn't it Cassie. Eddie had her locked up in the castle and she, dumb as she is, tried to climb out. They had Beth doing her Evita phase and being a bitch and having Crasshole arrested...or was it???  It was so stupid I didnt pay attention, especially since there were no repercussions, Cassie ends up screwing Eddie and everyone things Beth is a saint.

Brightly lit vortex of suck!!! BWHAHAAHAH..

That looks like a parody of a soap opera, not a real one and not my GL..why in God's name was Holly involved in any of this crap???

Poor DAM, in addition to just being sex on a stick he was a good actor who could have played the hell out of dark character, without the trappings of the worst Island Kingdom in fiction.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
