Members amybrickwallace
It's still one of the biggest crimes in TV history that not only didn't Beverlee McKinsey ever win an Emmy, she was never even NOMINATED for her work on GL. Just one more reason why the Emmys have turned into a complete joke over the years.

Members amybrickwallace
I know Curt Dawson was also on AW. Didn't he pass away young and under tragic circumstances?

Members SFK
In that Michael Logan interview, she seemed genuinely hurt that she didn't receive a nomination for her last year of work on GL.
Members amybrickwallace
Who could blame her for being hurt? I certainly would have been. Also, thanks to cassadine1991 for posting the link about Curt Dawson.

Members KateW
Beverlee McKinsey did have 4 consecutive nominations (1977-1980) for Another World, but I agree she should've won at least once in the early 1990s for her work on Guiding Light. Looking back at the 1991-1993 Lead Actress races: 1991 - Julia Barr, Jeanne Cooper, Elizabeth Hubbard, Finola Hughes (winner), Susan Lucci 1992 - Jeanne Cooper, Elizabeth Hubbard, Susan Lucci, Erika Slezak (winner), Jessica Tuck 1993 - Julia Barr, Linda Dano (winner), Ellen Dolan, Maeve Kinkead, Susan Lucci I think Beverlee could've easily beat any of the nominees there.
Members katie_9918
I'm watching the German DVDs from late 1979 again. Great stuff, even though Ben McFarren was an idiot.
Members amybrickwallace
I do think Linda Dano did deserve to win for the alcoholism story - the others, I couldn't say.
Members DRW50
More clips setting up Roger's takedown. Some of these are already online, but these are better quality and a little more complete. Watching these just reminds me of how luminous Beverlee was and how many layers she put into Alex at this point (her rage, her fragility, her regret, her love for Fletcher). And it reminds me of how much I loved Harley when she was still quirky and an outsider, and not drained of personality with Mallet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDoOp7PGIVM&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw
