They brought in a relative of Reverend Ruthledge to work with him, although I think someone said the history wasn't quite right.

And the Billy/Lizzie friendship worked on so many levels. It made Lizzie likeable as far as I'm concerned. It gives Billy an outlet for all his protectiveness. And you can tell he's trying to fix his own past in a way.

She was credited as a regular cast member and was on more often. But either way, its not important.

I didn't know that. It makes me happy though. When I watch the newer stuff, I never seem to find the credits.
