I'm sure someone with a better knowledge of "Search for Tomorrow" could give you a more detailed answer, but the quick version is Grant played Rose. Rose was the young woman who worked at the motor inn that Jo owned and was secretly working for the mob. The poison soup plot was, I believe, a plan to discredit Jo and force her to close the inn so that they could buy the land. Rose's brother was Wilbur, played by Don Knotts. I believe Constance Ford replaced Lee Grant in the role.

Thanks a lot, as always.

I thought she was on the show in earlier years but got confused as she talked about how Mary Stuart had been on there 20 years, and so on.

'10 Years as a Queen of the Soap Operas'', so I would say 1961.

Thank you. I was wondering if this picture was taken in the storyline where her pregnancy was written into the show (a first in daytime drama, I believe).

They were foster parents to a baby girl - Elan - for awhile. This had to have been towards the end of Rod Arrants' time on the show.

OK. Makes sense seeing as she was never referenced in later episodes. So what happened to her? I'm guessing either her original parents or the system came to reclaim her?

Thanks for posting these two 1984 episodes. The commercials are a lot of fun to look back at. Is that Dorian Lopinto in the Playtex ad ?

Looking at summaries, Elan was involved in the story from January 1984 until August 1984 when her mother reclaimed her. This would be the tail end of Rod Arrants, who I believe departed in June 1984. Wendy briefly tried to be her foster mother as well.

Even though I admit to having a very vague recollection of SFT, somehow I recognize quite a few of the actors. These were good episodes to watch.

Funny how the writing for the women seems more progressive than what I'm seeing on today's daytime dramas.
