I was angry at the time about Tammin's firing. I still am. But if Tammin's going, I'm glad Colleen is being killed off (very unpopular opinion, I know).

I won't hope for MAB to be fired because I know it's never going to happen. But her henchmen have GOT to go.

Keep the faith, as I keep saying, unlike with B&B, the Bell's don't own the controlling stake in Y&R, Sony does. They can force her ass out anytime they want, along with her henchmen.

I'm hoping that will be the case by the end of the year. But if she must remain, I agree, she needs to get rid of her two (or three if you want to count Paul Rauch) henchmen and hire a better, more reputable and talented Co-Head Writer.

Australian racism rears its ugly head once again.

Also: It's unfortunate that Sursucks wil be the last actess this role knows. She doesn't deserve to take it with her, hell she doesn't deserve to take any Y&R pens from the set home with her :P

lol I bet we'll see Sursok on B&B as "Billie-Jean Spencer", Bill's daughter who has an inexplicable accent despite having never left the country or even met an Australian person. She will develop a crush on Thomas who contends that Billie Jean is not his lover, and that the kid is not his son (it is Rick's).

or, worse yet, Brooke says she switched Phoebe at birth, to usher back McKenzie Mauzy in a few years' time who sent an Austrailian replacement to her family because she faked her death because she was a lesbian.

Sure beats Owen's twin having an affair with "Steffy" who is actually Phoebe who had plastic surgery to look like her sister because she missed being identical as a child. Then Amber and her twin come to B&B and the double roles run wild!

I have no problem with her viewpoint on what she discussed re; Emmys. The process is whacked and I applaud her for stepping up saying how political it is. I don't think its sour grapes but highlighting the inequity of a flawed system. If someone spit on me I'd say something about it...I look at how the Winters are in their little cocoon with little(except for Lily) to no story with the rest of the cast...including Neil right now...so if she wanted speak her peace after 20 yrs odd years with the show...in a role that was created for her so be it...

I wonder what it would take (if anything) to get Curlee and her hubby to take over the show as co-HWs. Surely there must be a way. If not them, then maybe Broderick.

MAB could stay as co-EP with ... don't shoot me ... but JFP. She may be a bitch, but damn her GL looked mahhvelous.

With today's budget I'm not sure what JFP could do. I also imagine we would be saying goodbye to various older cast members, although Jess Walton already seems just about gone anyway and Ted Shackleford and Judith Chapman are dead weight now. I'm sure she would improve on Rauch, who was supposed to be so wonderful for production values and for improving the performances and has flopped badly on both counts. The hair on Y&R is now the worst on daytime, it's just sad. Bill Bell would be ashamed at the shredded bird nests which count as hair for a number of the women in the cast, Sharon, Chloe, Sharon, Mackenzie, Sharon...

I haven't seen Lorraine Broderick write anything above mediocre since 1996 but she would be an improvement over what they have now. Sheffer has to go.

Sharon's hair is just so bland. It just sits there... Sharon Case doesn't even qualify as a hair model. They should give it some shape like in this pic of Missy Reeves.

I'm waiting for Amber to pen Sharon's memoirs and call it HOT MESS: The life and Times of Sharon Collins Newman Abbott

    • They weren't in town, but Fletcher worked at the paper (and we saw anniversary headlines for the 50th, although I don't remember if Roger was one of them), and I'd think Alex would have at least heard of him due to the damage he did to Spaulding only a few years before her return to the fold. I know I have to remember it's not real life, of course.
    • YES. The videos being uploaded to Spauldingfield are almost to the point where Alan is reintroduced. They're already talking about the guy he pretends to be, and yes, he returns at a masked ball. In fact, that masked ball is almost beat for beat the same as the masked ball where Alex was introduced! Get a new schtick. Before the Kobe era, that's pretty much what they did. Characters would just show up. Maybe other characters would talk about them for a while--the Chamberlains, Tony, Maureen, Andy, Kelly, Carrie--but then they would just appear. When Hope came back, she simply knocked on Bert's door and said something like, "Hi, Grandma, I'm home again." No particular fanfare. Sometimes it would be a bit dramatic--Jennifer and Morgan were introduced when Mike accidentally crashed into their car, for instance, and Alan and Elizabeth were introduced through Jackie's flashbacks when she was remembering giving up Phillip for adoption. Nola was involved in the Roger return. Roger's return in 1980 was very dramatic, but in a way that made total sense. He was trying to kidnap a child, so dressing up as a clown did not seem crazy. The mask bit was not only silly, it didn't even make sense. Alex never knew him, so there was no reason for him to be masked in front of her. And he didn't have to be skulking around SF for months. Again, I will cut Long a little slack--it was not her idea to bring back Roger, she was told to do it. She never wrote for the character. It was something that was not planned. They originally went to Zaslow to offer him the role of Alan. He, of course, turned them down because that was a ridiculous idea, but then he suggested coming back as Roger. At such short notice, it's not strange his return was not handled well.
    • Eh...but neither had been in town. Know the name Roger Thorpe? Sure. But Alex would have gone crazy trying to memorize all of Alan's co-conspirators/lovers/wives and Fletch didn't even know Roger/Adam was on the island, IIRC. But who knew or should've known each other is always a little dicey when people come back to town.
    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
