Jamey Giddens didn't get his wish. Judi Evans (ex-Adrienne/Bonnie, DAYS;ex-Beth, GL) is returning to daytime tv just not with Wally Kurth over at Days of Our Lives. According to Soap Opera Digest, Evans took a role on As the World Turns. No word on who she'll be playing but look for the daytime vet to debut late August.

Judi is talented and it is good that she is back in the soap business. I still am not watching ATWT. I don't mind Adrianne not going back to Days. Justin should not be tied down. He can be a love interest for Carly.

Maybe a Sierra recast? It was said that Mary Beth Evans was returning, but the money was instead used for Cady McClain. Maybe Evans is a cheap recast. Shame though that we have her and Lynn Herring joining the cast. Both are great, like most of the cast, but that show is unwatchable.

Good for her and ATWT...between that and Lynn, it might actually produce a couple of watchable shows.

It is shocking that ATWT can have such a talented cast, yet the show is unwatchable. It is junk. JP and Goutman are worse than hacks.

I hope it's not a Sierra recast---I loved MBE in that role. I doubt it's anything long-term either though. It's probably something totally random like being the-really-dead-Riley's mother for like two episodes.

Well since her role an ATWT is only for a couple months according to welovesoaps.com the show could just say she's taking care of the kids or is helping Jack/Steve with something. Or the show could just break them up.

WLS is reporting the character name is Maeve...sounds like another Villain-Of-The-Month...waste!

I agree! Why keep adding new characters for short-term stints when they have characters that are never used?! I don't care about newbies, I want to see the characters I know and love!
