According to someone pages back,Bill Bell regretted killing off Philip. That may be true, but Bell lived with his decision and didn't do 'back from the dead'.

This will be interesting in the short term as to how the whole thing is explained, but long term???

Will this signal the end of Cane?Assuming he has a 3 yr contract,Goddard is signed up till next Jan.Of course,he could be written off at any time.

I am trying to remember the accident leading to his death. We didn't actually see the result of the accident. Everyone found out he had died in a car crash. I think we did see him in the car boozing it up...but my memory of it is hazy.

So what if Cane is Phillip's lover?? :o It just popped in my head.

You mean you don't have to be stupid like Lily to fall for an animal from a another species like Cane?

At first I thought it was the Colonnade Room, but then I realized it wasn't. Looks like a new set.

Has the Colonnade Room been dropped? I can't remember the last time it was mentioned.

I feel like Y&R has come upon it's "Roman Brady Returns/John Black emerges" situation

This is Y&R and not Days. Days is tacky...LOL

It was last used last summer for the gala where Sabrina and David were killed.

So what if Cane is Phillip's lover?

Then, coming out of the closet has done little to improve Phillip's choice of relationships (sorry, Nina).

If you had the choice, would you make the new character an impostor, or the real Phillip?

I'd make him the real Phillip, even if that means a fake death story. I think if they've brought the actor back they need to just go all out with this story, play every beat, instead of another doppleganger.

And of course, since the blessed Saint Sabrina tread there, 'tis hallowed ground, and no one is worthy to step foot there ever again.

Oh, hun, Cane may be a dud on the show, but Daniel Goddard as a lover certainly isn't. ;) Phillip will have done well having a BF the looks of him

That sucks, I love the Colonade room.

I'd make him the real Phillip. Explaining how he faked his death would be difficult, but not as difficult as explaining how Jill gave birth to twins and didn't know it.

I feel like Y&R has come upon it's "Roman Brady Returns/John Black emerges" situation.

Not unless Cane was brainwashed into thinking he was PC3.

I hadn't thought about the twins, I thought if it's not Phillip then they would just say he somehow looks like him (a la Kay/Marge), or got surgery. I'd rather it be the real Phillip, as there's so much material to play out with Jill and Nina, and Kay.

No, no long lost twins please. I'm barely stomaching this line that was crossed by Y&R . A clear return from the dead story whilst I watch. Can anybody name previous return from the dead stories on Y&R?

I know Sheila has been one a few times over
