Well, young Brad was drippingly hot....as a super skinny, super-ripped, cutoff wearing young pool boy/gardener. He was a hot boy.

This bearded, soul-piercing dark eyes fella, 20 years older, is an insanely hot man. Different generation, hot in different ways.

You know, the thing is, there have been times when I really liked his acting. There was a point, after Brad had inherited Raytech, where Brad suddenly had confidence and cockiness...it ws a palpable shift from the sweet boy he'd once played. We'd seen his EVOLUTION, so seamlessly, that it became clear the actor had grown with the role.

When I compare him to -- say Ronn Moss or Winsor Harmon or Texas Battle or John McCook -- maybe even to Kyle Lowder -- he is OLIVIER!

I hope. I think there will be chemistry.

Yes. Esp. if Owen

.

I'm enjoying Jackie/Owen, Mr Beemer and Lesley Ann Down are steaming it up, and of course that man should be permanently without clothing. :D:o:D

Very obvious Ridge will go back to Taylor, methinks Rick will push him over the edge if he tries one more stunt with Steffy, and the icing on the cake will be the invalid Bridge marriage LOL

As long as it ends Bridge and frees Brooke up for a new man, bring it on!

Yes. I'm still not sold on the beard... I'm gonna have to see him onscreen. But DD, to me, is the hottest man in this world. And I just wish wish wish that he stays on for a long-long time... unless they want him back on Y&R

Oh, and

God, that would be soap opera heaven!

Does anyone else think Brandon Beemer looks like Dave Annable from Brothers & Sisters? I really noticed the resemblance yesterday. Geez he looked very good in those grey pants.

I didn't notice until yesterday that Jack Wagner finally got a haircut.

Total agreement. That was an F-you to the actor, I believe. He's a bit disgruntled about it too. For example, he would not discuss his Y&R ouster with Michael Logan, preferring not to comment.

Beemer is all angular. I still think the more interesting beat would be to make Owen RIDGE'S unknown illegitmate son.

OK, I don't watch B&B and have no plans to start. I just never turned off the TV after Y&R like I usually do. But that lady with the BIG HAIR is simply annoying. Good thing I don't watch this show, cuz I couldn't make it through a scene with that chick.

Absolutely WORD. The image of Brad trapped under the ice may be a classic Y&R image, but never ever ever ever ever make a death so permanent because it might come back to bite you in the ass. I wish it was just a suspected death. Now the character can never come back without loosing all credibility. :(

    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. They're connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters.
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
    • The woman who was the co-chair of Latinas for Trump is now complaining about his targeting immigrants that she thought were "safe." I also read a puff piece from yet another "insider" journalist who lives to normalize fascists - this one with a tech bro who was venting off the record because he thought voting for Trump was cool and would show up the Democrats and maybe we'd get Greenland, but now he's getting upset.  These people still support Trump, and Republicans, they just want to make sure they get credit for being respectable. And they will get it.
    • I really do wish someone could. Just a few characters in very simple backdrops, with very real problems that are just a little larger than life, like the '50s and '60s. All the characters having a level of dignity or respect. And their inner lives are what dominate the story, even if there are outside forces at play.
    • It's a lesson to never be loyal because once your use is up, you're shown the door. MSW was the only bright spot for CBS for awhile, and once they were back on top... they promptly sabotaged the show as a repayment for all that the show had done for the network.
    • The show made a mistake in not bringing in more McKinnon kids, specifically bringing back Ben. Kathleen was leaving, and while I like you am very fond of Sally Spencer as MJ, that didn't seem to be a common view. They also decimated the character in a truly sick storyline. So that just left Cheryl.
    • Between Gwen and Cat, the show often seems to side with those who cause lots of cruelty to Jack and Jennifer. I am half-surprised that the show hasn't brought Peter Blake back for more of the same.  I don't really know if there is a purpose for them in Salem now, but I do feel a sense of stability and rightness when Melissa Reeves is back in the role of Jennifer and back in the Horton house, in spite of...well, a lot of offcamera stuff we all know perfectly well.
    • I like to call her an FC-reject character
