Austin Williams has his bad moments but otherwise I think he's pretty good for a kid actor. He never fails to make it at least seem like Shane is crying or emotional in the appropriate scenes, and I think he can cry. Matthew/Eddie has fucked up MANY an emotional scene over the years (Sam's death, anyone?). He's only begun to improve.

Bwah! David's commercial is hysterical. I couldn't stop laughing. The expression on Dorian's face made it even more funny.

I really like Destiny. If Matthew was smart, he will hook up with her and not the blonde princess. All these black people OLTL are a shock. I thought RC was allergic to black folk.

If RJ was Destiny's father, that wouldn't screw up a Matthew/Destiny pairing, would it?

I like Destiny. She needs to work on her acting a lot, but she has presence and personality. I like the scenes where she hasn't employed the "oh no she DIDN'T" attitude-acting. She was good today. Tying Destiny to Shaun was a good idea too.

No, there's no blood relation there. She is a cute little thing, it's weird but I can forgive her "not quite there yet acting" because it's not often that you see a young girl like her on a soap. It's always some preteen Lohan-wannabe. Destiny's casting is much more Degrassi in style.

If you remember all three ABC soaps stopped the previews late last year. Then a month or so later, OLTL started them again for sweeps because RC, FV, or somebody said that they wanted to promote the wonderful stories they were showcasing during sweeps month, or something like that.

The way I took that to read was that once the sweeps were over, so were the previews again.

I didn't catch that today.....did they take somebody out to make room for her, or just stick her in someplace?

He just weirds me out to be harsh. Not sure why. Especially in the makeup scenes.

Yea, we got Layla, Rachel, Hank, Shaun, Destiny, and soon RJ. But keep in mind how many are on contract...

HBS was slotted in between Matthew and Clint. No one was removed, they probably just hastened BAB's clip or took out a title card somewhere.

    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.

      look who’s at a party I’m at
    • Yes. We should absolutely move on from John/Drake's 40 year legacy on the show to see what Leo is going to do tomorrow.  Lol.  This can't be a serious post.
