This week's was such a good episode in a quiet way. I just loved that dinner with Rachel and the new guy while "Moon River" played in the background. She was so adult and it really made me think back to earlier years and silly HS problems and now here she is all grown up. And Same with Kurt watching him with his highbrow NY friends discussing artsy movies. And that made me feel really sorry for Blaine. This was just a nice solid little character growth episode all around.

I thought for a second Blaine and Sam were gonna start making out.

I don't know if anyone on this site still watches the show but it is coming back tomorrow.

I guess this is Blaine singing, not sure.

and I dont know who is singing this, leading me to assume it is the new girl, but whoever it is did a nice job

The only thing that stood out was her poor diction at the end where instead of saying "good bye to..." she sang "goodbye ta..."

i am so over this show. Its boring and the new cast members suck! they are just crappy versions of the old ones that graduate. The terrible ratings that they are receiving is reflecting on people are over this show. I would be very suprised if this show makes it to a 5th season.

I love Santana, the actress is so talented, beautiful and that equals sexy. I am shocked how good Kate Hudson is as a performer.

Not only was she a good singer but that bit with hunky guy was hot. Oh I also think Darren Criss really should head back to Broadway. He sings well, he looks the part, he has just the right theatrical touch of ham in him, he could do it except perhaps for the fact that as talented as he is he still as not as technically perfect as Broadway singers tend to be (someone like John Barrowman for example). Overall, I feel last season with the graduation should have been the last. Some new characters I like, some I can't stand. I don't really like the split between McKinley High and New York, they should focus on one or the other, not both. Given Glee's not so great ratings this season, looks like most have moved on and fad is over.

I don't think Glee's ratings are all that bad considering this was a year for network collapse. Glee's ratings have eroded less than the average. One of the networks (is it NBC?) has held steady and the other three the floor dropped out from under them. The ability of Walking Dead to outright get more viewers than all network shows opposite it I think tells the story about what is happening to the networks.

Tonight's Glee was really really good. Rachel's triumph really came across the screen and they shot that really well. I actually was happy she did good. The whole NY half of the show is far superior to the actual Glee half. Kate Hudson just continues to shine, and her performance of "All That Jazz" was better than Lea Michelle's. Her performance last time of "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" was better than either of her trio partners too.

Sam and Brittany's duet of "Something Stupid" was very sweet. It is a nice, charming song that is tough to ruin and they did a nice job of it.

    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archivedcopy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.
