I think you're wrong here, Cat.

Graz is popular and TPTB are aware of it but I think the decision has been made some months ago that he won't renew. Maybe he even got CBS deal in his pocket who knows but I would be highly surprised to see more of Graz come May. That's why he's phased out right now...

If you think about it where Daniel is concerned---Amber is the older woman.

IMO Y&R made a big mistake moving the Amber character over from B&B age intact and then somehow down playing her age. They missed a great opportunity to address the age difference when Amber and Phyllis were at it. Imagine what Phyllis would have done with the knowledge that Amber was much older than Daniel.

I don't see a lot of point in being vocal about Daniel. The character has always been one of my favorites but the fact that they haven't used him at all in the last year, despite still being under contract, says to me that they don't care about the actor and character and want the audience to stop caring as well. Hopefully he finds better when he does go. Although if Daniel does need an older woman's touch, Sharonitwitheveryone could teach him a thing or two.

I'm not a fan of Amber and Kevin just jumping into bed together. As someone said, why can't they just have friendships without screwing. My exception being if they are all screwing together, Amber did do Porn after all.

I loved that scene too with Amber and Chloe. Amber forgets though that she can't have children. She has one kidney and when she was on B&B I had hoped they would kill her off by having her insist on a baby. Now that she's on Y&R and I like her, they should not have her try. Also, why can't some people be in relationships without babies? Especially people like Amber who have yet to be in a relationship for longer than a year.

Chloe is stunning when they pull her hair back a bit and play up her beautiful/expressive eyes with a bit of eyeliner. I never even realized EH looks a lot like Keira Knightley until someone here pointed that out.

I'm glad Jill has learned from Nina that being kind to the mother of her grandchild will pay dividends. I am not a fan of this "do the right thing" attitude that says that people should get married just because of the baby and not for love. Although, in this case I like it because Cane is a turd and Billy and Chloe need to keep him away from that baby. At least they do have the potential to fall in love. Very interesting that he told her he can't be monogamous. Do the Lily/Billy fans think that he would be monogamous with her? It took him 2 whole seconds to jump Sharon's bones despite this great love some people are seeing. I've also yet to see him yearning for her or she for him.

I liked the love scene between Lily and Cane. If they insist on keeping the current actors they might as well have them do what they do best, clothes off and no lines!!!

Woo hoo for Phyllis seeing Sharon stealing the picture. Hopefully she'll put two and two together and realize who stole the books and let Eden take the fall. Sharon really is a hypocrite considering that when her and Nick were together, he did so many stupid things and even wound up in Jail because of her lies.

Red the Warrior said....

Huh? Red have you gone over to the dark side? I'm very disappointed in Jack (my favorite Genoa City resident, next to Lily and Billy) he looked so fake and phony talking to Kate Valentine. Jack as been lobotomized like everyone else singing the praise of this deceiver. I'm so disappointed in the writers; they can't seem to write a realistic storyline regarding Kate Valentine. This girl needs to be punished for bad behavior, giving her what she wanted (William "Billy" Abbott) the whole time is not punishment.

I apologize in advance you guys, but it was me specifically being attacked and as some of you know, I don't take these things lying down.

First of all, the whole intention of my post was to say that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you go & post it on the net, prepare for disagreement. I never said my opinion was the final say on the matter- you are the one that has chosen to make that distinction. I posted my opinion and then defended it when criticized for it. Secondly, I said that the obsessive fangirls were the delusional ones and yes, that if you think Colleen is the next Jill, you are delusional. I wasn't calling the poster delusional, but rather the post. And guess what? That's my perogative, that's my opinion and I gave it. I didn't do so to provoke a reaction- I did it because that's what I honestly think.

For someone who clearly can't stand me, my opinions, or my posts, you give me an awful lot of power.

I'll say it again- HOLY CRAP! Will you lighten the hell up? Again, I wasn't outright calling him delusional, I just stated that in my OPINION, to think Colleen is the next Jill is delusional, blinded by an obvious love of the actress. I LOVE Marcy Walker, but I don't go around saying she's the next Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, etc....

Anyway, this is all off topic and getting old. If you want to disagree with my posts, by all means, you may. But YOU are the one doing the provoking because you're not attacking my posts, you're attacking my character. Even if I may think it, I have yet to call you a jerk or any other derogatory name, nor have I called you a 'holier than thou poster' even if I may think it to be true. So how bout we try sticking to the topic and disagreeing with one another's opinions on all things Y&R rather than attacking posters you don't like. Did you really come out of lurkdom just to give posters a piece of your mind? Because that's the way it comes off.

As for Y&R, I haven't seen but 5 minutes of it today because of all the noise in my house. But I DID see Crazy Sharon which made me :) . I love the way Phyllis was sizing her up- Me thinks Jack's not the only one who sees that Sharon is cracking up. Be back later after I watch the show! ;)

LOL...I'm still on the Light Side I promise!

I don't think Chloe should be put to death for what she did. However the last big to do besides Gloria was Phyllis's trial regarding her blackmail of Brad which was blown out of proportion and brought out all sorts of crazies. You'd think that Phyllis had committed the Holocaust by the way they were yelling for her to go to jail. Regarding Jack/Chloe I think Jack looked very sincere though. Even today he was clearly trying to make Chloe feel comfortable with Billy. And as far as punishment I think the writers are doing the right thing. Chloe is in love with a guy who clearly could not care less about her right now....

I mean think about it...Chloe was stuck in that relationship with Cane (if you could call that hellhole/vortex that is Cane a relationship) for months knowing all along that he was all gaga over Lily. Now she's sorta with Billy yet Bill doesn't want her either. I think it's karma for her butt. And hopefully she'll grow from this. I don't see her as the perfect heroine however and I don't think she's Phyllis in any shape or form.

Amber on the other hand is clearly on the Phyllis path and I love her for it.

And as far as Amber's age yeah she's supposed to be in her 30s but it's a soap and I'm more than willing to believe that my girl Amber is in her early 20's! How old is AF in real life?

Victor giving Noah that car for his bday was awesome! Love every single moment of The Newmans. Sharon continues to lose it....loved Phyllis seeing her towards the end.

@ Juniorz

The whole point of yoru post(s) was to deride and attack so forgive me for just following your example.

Unlike Adrianne Leon, the best actress ever to grace daytime television with her presence, right?

Well, thanks for clearing that up. Now that you've informed me of that absolute, unquestioned fact, I'll go and check myself into a mental asylum. :)

Wow, maybe we could have adjoining cells!

Sorry, but comparing Tammin Sursok to Charity Rahmer is like comparing Meryl Streep to Erin Sanders.

THANKYOU.

    • The Anita scene with Ted was written all wrong. Dani should have come in like she did, all guns blazing, with Anita showing up and ushering Dani out, as she stays alone with Ted. He's ready for more fury, but at first she treats him like her son, not just some man Nicole married, she's confused and heartbroken, needing explanation. Then, she drops the motherload and tells him to get his damn act together like she did. Anita came off completely one-note. And with both Dani and Anita in the scene, the self-righteousness just made both look like harridans who wouldn't shut the hell up. Very disappointed in that scene. The scene with Eva was much better. It could be good if somehow Vernon starts to soften towards her and that puts the first signs of strife into their marriage. We need something interesting to happen with them, for once. Mona was the MVP today for me. I love Leslie and especially Eva, but I was firmly on Mona's side today. She deserved to get her two cents in. The scenes just left me wanting more of her and her inner life. They should really drop Ashley, Derek, and Tomas and put Mona, Laura, and Shanice on contact stat! I don't get why Leslie continued to lie about where she got the money Ted gave her though? What purpose would that serve? Faint hopes that Mona would still forgive her, I guess? Kat really gets some of the best lines. Through all the bitchiness and judgment, she has a talent at keeping me on side because somehow she's never come across unlikable to me, where someone like Dani, even Anita, falls. The scene with her, Martin, and Nicole was a necessity. Things are coming together to making that part of the family feel more like a family. Now I anxiously await Kat and Ted having a one on one confrontation. It would be perfect if it happened to be in the new Ted's first scene/episode.
    • They’ve been really nailing the fall out super well and your whole post really highlights some of the great parts and ramifications we’re seeing.
    • I like that this episode highlighted the ramifications of what Eva and her rotten mama did. They were so focused on Ted and Nicole, not even realizing that other people would be affected. Eva thought nothing of what she did to Mona bc she was sure no on would hold anything against her but Mona is right in that they ruined her reputation with the Duprees. They dont blame her but they will likely never trust her judgement again. She has to walk by them feeling the guilt and shame that she'll never live down bc she unknowingly played a role in the hell that was unleashed. Not to mention the trauma and trust issues she no has bc she genuinely viewed Leslie as a friend   And poor Laura nearly died when she had that car accident and then had a heart attack and infection bc she was poisond. She's been recuperating for 3 months. She missed her trip to Hawaii and no idea what impact this has done on her relationship and her own plans but no on was thinking about that.   Eva and Leslie need to be made to feel like ish bc this was bigger than just Ted and Nicole

    • Understand your point.  But I usually see Reginald's mustache twirling villainy as ultra campy bordering on comedic (albeit unsuccessfully).  And upon Reginald's exit, most of the overt camp/comedy seemed to cease. And although I'm aware camp and comedy are not exactly the same thing, I tend to throw them together anyway -- especially when discussing soaps.  You are correct, Mary was not played for laughs.  When I used to term "let's play everything for laughs" I didn't mean literally everything or every character was comedic. But TPTB put so much effort into comedy, it did tend to eat the show for a few years (again not literally). I'm just expressing my perspective on the topic, and lots of folks probably disagree.  That's cool. People who like comedy on soaps tend to defend it, and folks who don't like comedy (or think it want too far) tend to criticize it.  Whichever side of the fence one is on, it sure didn't help the ratings on AW.
    • Nope, it was not just you, I had the same issues. Most either disagreed with me, or just ignored my comments. But, I most definitely would have liked for them to take another route, even to add sheer variety in the storytelling. It is what it is, the story is a hit with the fans...
