February 5, 200917 yr Member Though there's nothing to mark on your calendars yet, an well-placed insider involved with the Daytime Emmys says, "I'm assured there will be a telecast. Lots of work has been going on in the background by good people to make this happen. There will be a show." http://soapoperadigest.com/news/breaking/
February 5, 200917 yr Member well i need a coast, a date, a venue set. so i can get in. idk if they sell tix or not - i WILL get in! actually i dont care about the awards. i want into the afterparty.
February 6, 200917 yr Member I still say Soapnet should air it, it's least Frons can do for turning the network into something unrecognizable
February 9, 200917 yr Member My guess is it will end up a 2 hour ep of the View or something? I'd prefer a f*cking webcast from Bumf*ck Iowa...the red carpet down Main Street, stretching to the Burger King.
February 11, 200917 yr Member I'd prefer a f*cking webcast from Bumf*ck Iowa...the red carpet down Main Street, stretching to the Burger King. Why? What's wrong with "The View?" Better than having no telecast at all. I just hope they remove those stupid critics from the ceremony. Hinsey was okay, especially after she called Frons out on his [!@#$%^&*], but damnit to hell if that People Magazine guy didn't annoy the crap out of me last time. He had no clue what the eff he was talking about.

We know damn well Frons will make it all about his bitches if it was to be broadcast on The View.
February 27, 200917 yr Member From SOD Online: Daytime Emmy Update "There will definitely be a broadcast and it will be a cool event!" confirms an insider. The nominations will be announced for the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy awards in late April. The broadcast is slated for early June. Check back with SoapOperaDigest.com for updated information.
February 27, 200917 yr Member Yayyyyy! That makes me SO happy! Thanks for the update Zendall........and SOD.
February 28, 200917 yr Member They said that exact same thing awhile back so don't hold your breath. I don't see it ending up on The View because ABC turned down the broadcast because it wasn't there year and they weren't interested in putting money into something that isn't going to make money. And CBS is no better when it comes to making a telecast, either. They make it all about their shows. Actually, even though it was held on ABC it was bascially a broadcast honoring CBS, since they had the most nominations.
