"I'd also LOVE to see the climax of the Rachel/Mac/Janice Frame storyline in St. Croix."

That's my number one pick. I saw it the first go-round and thought it was masterful - the location, the music, the storyline with Rachel sleeping with Mitch, hoping it would help her find Mac.

There's a clip on You Tube that includes a flashback to Janice's actual death, but I want to see the entire sequence.

Being such a huge Peyton Place fan, I'd love to see at least one epsiode of Return to Peyton Place. To see the entire series or even a full week would be a miracle. I want to know how the transition to daytime went. How the actors were, the storylines and production qualities compared to the original.

Then I've always been interested in the 70s era of Y&R. I want to see the Brooks and Foster families in full force. Lorie Brooks is a legend to me.

i wish soaps would come up with a way to re-edit all their old fav storylines and release them as a DVD box set. I know there are tons of fans like me who'd buy. it could save the industry if they could relaease not a best of disc, but whole s/l's.

For instance, Y&R could release a special "The Chronicles of Sheila" that would show nothing but that particular s/l. There's a treasure trove of material in every soap on air that the TPTB could mine to get ancilliary income while pleasing us fans who loved the show. I don't think it's plausible to release a whole season, but with some clever editing, they could show the full storyline.

I for one would love to watch Texas with Bev Mckinsay. I've spent many a night watching those old clips and they were so engrossing.

Love it Dale- I have a bunch of videotapes to that I bought from some random dude in 1998 or so!

I've got early 1985-86 Viki/Niki/Mitch lawrence- GOD the show was good

10 episodes of Tina at the lighthouse with Ursulla, Sarah's rape (Austin Buchanan) Tina and Cord's wedding/Wedding Cake explosion, Argentina, Maria Roberts/Tina

My favorite episodes on Youtube are when Tina became close with Niki and liked her alot more than Viki! Excellently written scenes that were so much fun to watch. Tina went shopping with Niki (and of course the shopping was payed out of Viki's ample bank account)

And Tina gave Niki tips on being more like Viki- NO dessert, light on the makeup, ect. Good stuff.

Oh and Dale- Niki was played much more real. She was a very likeable character-

They have turned Niki into such a overblown caricature when she comes out -

Niki Smith was a cool chick. She was like Roxie but much more intelligent. She was an actual person.

And Viki turning into Niki on the witness stand during Tina's trial was heartbreaking- It wasn't played as camp, it was played real. She broke down and turned into Niki. Niki watched her lover Harry O'Neill get shot and killed by Mitch. Puts a lump in my throat everytime. Erika won her 2nd emmy for those scenes and the writing team won for those scenes as well (I think the headwriter was Peggy O'Shea). When she turned into Niki and told the jury that it was Mitch who killed Harry, and not Tina- who was on trial.

Some of the best soap scenes ever. Damn. I gotta get my tape turned into a dvd too!.

I'm still looking for the GL scene with Roger at Maureen's gravesight and that great scene right after Cliff House where Roger tells Holly "You don't want to ride the rollercoaster. You don't want to feel too much!"

I would love to see Morgan Fairchild's run on Search For Tomorrow, I hardly remember any of it, as I was rather young when it aired!

I also would love to see Erica Kane's St Maria of Wildwind speech from AMC. That was Lucci's finest moment.

Finally, I would love to see Katherine Chancellor confront herself and then shatter her mirror with her glass, I believe this was circa 1999...that was a terrific scene. Y&R has always had such interesting scenes with mirrors. It's the only soap that has mirrors in the majority of its sets.

Several of the Morgan Fairchild episodes of SFT or at clips from them are up now on You Tube.

Ann William's daughter has placed several clips from Ms. Williams personal library or collection up and several of those scenes have Morgan Fairchild in them.

In particular are the scenes where Morgan Fairchild confronts Ann Williams and then the one where she shoots and killed Ann Williams' character Eunice

Another scene I would really like to see is the one where Holland Taylor as Denise Cavanaugh plans her suicide - in order to frame her adversary Nicole for the murder. Holland Taylor was brilliant. That was on The Edge of Night.

I would also love to see anything from Ruth Warrick's time as Phoebe when she was in the wheel chair. On man those scenes were wonderful.

Also on Somerset I would love to see any of Jennifer Bassey's run where she played the demented former wife of Jerry Kane. That story was great.

Also for Another World any of the scenes from the Sven Peterson reign of terror. No one ever made as great of a villan as Roberts Blossom did as Sven.

I would love to see the scene again where Nancy Marchand as Therese Lamonte on AW sings Bye Bye Blackbird and then dies.

I too would love to see the climax to the Janice/Mac/Rachel/Mitch story. It was wonderful the first time, but I want to see it again over and over.

ON Texas I would love to see any of Chandler Harben's run again as Max Dekker. He and Reena made a great couple.

And I would love to see again any of Christopher Reeve's run as Ben Harper on Love of Life. I saw it before, but I want to see it again.

the Serial Killer story was spectacular.

    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
    • Does anyone happen to have a recording or any footage of Jennifer’s funeral?
    • It's such a shame that the conflict couldn't be resolved in a mature way between the two actors.. especially since Albee was a bigger asset for the show in terms of character and his popular will they/won't they pairing with Deborah Saxon. One of the things about Edge was that it was just as popular with male viewers as it was with women.  It's one of things I think the show forgot in the final year or two with the deemphasis on the male characters.
    • Daytime Confidential did a podcast of the worst mothers in soaps and here were their lists.  5.Felicia Scorpio 4.Reva Shayne 3.Dina Mergeron 2.Helena Cassadine/Shelia Carter 1.Brooke Logan Dishonorable Mentions- Stephanie Forrester,Ann Douglas, Phyllis Summers and Joanna Manning Joshua 5.Anna Devane 4.Diane Jenkins 3.Ava Vitali 2.Shelia Carter 1.Brooke Logan Dishonorable Mentions-Alexis Davis, Felicia Scorpio, Eve Donovan, Heather Webber, Natalia Ramirez, Stephanie Forrester, and Ruth Martin Luke 5.Natalia Ramirez 4.Diana Coville 3.Helena Cassadine 2.Alexis Davis 1.Arlene Vaughn Dishonorable Mentions-Stephanie Forrester Now for my comments. Wonder what Ruth Martin ever did to this guy?!!! I mean Ruth Martin? I don't get it. Next, IMO they are just picking on Eve Donovan. Who is Dina Mergeron? Same question  Joanna Manning? Diana Colville Is that because of the bad DAYS retcon of her being Leo Stark's mother? All of the rest, CO-SIGN!

    • I don't really care about what the men are wearing, or not wearing.   What I care about is focusing on the writing and character development for each of the male characters. Andre really doesn't have a lot of character development that sets him apart from the other male characters except that he seems content to be degraded and mistreated by the elitist Dani.  I would like to know why a good looking younger guy like Andre would willingly be at the mercy of an emotional vampire such as Dani.   Martin, on the other hand, seems to have decent character development.. and it is partly due to how the actor chooses to recite his lines.  Martin was raised in a very privileged household and probably went to the best schools... so it makes sense that he would come across as thinking he was above everyone else.  Most people raised in a upper class situation as the Duprees would view themselves as better than others (it's the same trait Dani seems to employ on those she feels superior to). It makes me wonder how Nicole came out of that family being so warm and nurturing  when her family dynamics seemed very appearance oriented.
    • I know, right. I after just re-reading the thread, I'm like ooppph!
