I'm glad rocker chick got through and that Nicki said what she said ... just judge by what they sung -- some people are versatile and can do different things and/or like different genres of music. So I'm happy Keith was the tiebreaker and got her to go to HW.

I came into watching American Idol feeling like I was going to see a lot of Mariah "shading" Nicki? It hasn't been like that. It has been a lot of Nicki throwing an attitude about the judging of the others. I'm not paying 100% attention so maybe I missed something.

Oh Mariah, just STFU. I wonder if FOX regrets this decision. I know I sure as hell would.

I get exactly what Nicki was saying and its sad that she has to keep bringing it up and tbh I'd rather hear about outfits than asking countless questions about what genres of music the person likes and they probably do feel bullied into going with one or the other just so they can get through to the next round. There is a way to let someone know that they may be better suited for something else with their voice but they're going about it the wrong way.

LMAO even if she went back to the tape Mariah she still gives WAY better critiques than you... she copies off of Nicki so much that its almost embarrassing and her comment about wanting to storm off the set... please have several seats. I'm ready for the next place and for Nicki's other outfit already.

I miss Cheap too with gifs in real time.

I kinda liked that guy that sang A Whole New World, he wasn't too bad but it just wasn't for him at this moment.

Mariah had me cracking up and how they kept making bacon pop up for her.

Awww the girl with the daughter was really good -- I didn't know what to think when she said Fresh Prince of Bel Air but she did really good. LMAO when Mariah was all, she gave you a nickname since that's all Nicki's been doing since the first hour.

Several seasons ago, a girl sang the theme song to A Different World. She made it to Hollywood but when she first said what she was singing, I was like, "blink.png."

I agree that they were dragging out the country thing in a way that didn't seem particularly constructive to me. She obviously had good enough of a voice so send her to Hollywood and let her sink or swim from there. She'll have a couple of months to think about the genre thing before Hollywood week.

Oooooooooo you've piqued my curiosity SFK, I must find this clip on YT.

They really were -- I need for them to stop trying to put people in categories and sub categories at this point. You can suggest but please stop badgering. But I do agree with some that they could have did all of that when she left the room. She looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

Just watched Wednesday's show

just watched and still Team Nicki. I felt she was justifi with what lef her to walk off. I saw her sticking up for the singer and the other judges picking apart at one little comment. The press made such a big deal out of this as it wasnt some big blowup between Nicki and Mariah at all. Randi helped instigate that stuff and the two women didnt even have alot of direct words to each other. And of course Nicki came back as a professional and didnt let that weigh her down the next day. Of cours she got no credit for that in the press as they made her out to be an immature diva

Nicki's outfits? A hot mess. The first pink wig was awful and what she wore in the second half was just....no. I felt she looked better in the first week of shows

Awww, I thought it was touching when that girl got her good news and then cried back "Please dont fight. It makes us sad"

IDA'd with the judges. I actually liked the Bacon guy. He started off rough but got better.

I thought this was cute but didnt like how her mother tried to manipulate Nicki by bringing out the kid and laying it on thick before her audition. I did like how she was original and chose an unconventional song. She made it her own

      A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

      Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.

      When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

      I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.

      Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
