Everything about this thread right now is making me giggle. In a good way.

Thanks, Alvin.

Yes, and to my surprise, she's been friends with Brad for years...

Well, geez, that makes it harder! LOL Back to the drawing board........

Okay, so we have:

- first time writer

- entered daytime in 1985 (100% sure it's 1985?)

- we would recognize the name

- not from the Bell universe

- has CBS ties (meaning she worked for a CBS soap, right)

Martha Byrne?

That's brilliant!!!! She fits the clues. LOL!!

Martha Byrne?

Yes!

No use in proloning this....

Brad offered her a trial run, he liked her samples. Whether this trial run will lead to anything longterm is anyone's guess.

Thank God you said that the rumored writer was a longtime friend of Brad's...that was the ONLY thing that tipped me off! Seriously, I read that and instantly, I knew because those other clues were bugging the hell outta me!

I think it's a great thing, Martha is a big admirer of Y&R and B&B and of the Bells in general. I hope she does great!

I want some BIG NEWS next time dammit. Like a a co head writer for Ron or hearing that Guza has been canned at GH.

We don't break information like that in this thread. This thread is for staff writers and other positions of production. New about EP/HW firings/hirings get their own threads.

No, I have not. I understand every word R Sinclair has written, and I agree with him also. I complimented Toups for calling you on your obnoxiousness. You'd see that, too, if you weren't so busy intentionally misreading everything I wrote.

Wonderful. Now would you mind enjoying yourself someplace else? Some post-ers here actually want to engage in meaningful dialogue, not gratuitous s**t-stirring.

LMAO! And what exactly are you doing this by instead of ignoring me reply and calling what I do by that last word? You're guilty of that as everyone else.

By the way, Sylph? Referring to me as "Can" in your post before editing it? Not very clever.

LMAO again! Because it was a typo, I know you'll find it hard to belive, there were no allusions or hidden intentions. But you are free to believe it was. :)

Martha Byrne writing for soaps? That's interesting! I'd love to see her back on screen, but it's nice to see her spread her wings this way. I hope the trial gig works out well for her.

I had a stupid guess...deleted now.

Byrne? Is it too much for me to hope she would resist that schmalzy over-the-top-ness that B&B seems to inculcate?

I'd rather see Byrne on canvas, but there is NO ROOM for her on B&B. Unless they want to COMPLETELY redesign the concept of Kristin Forrester...which would be fine with me.
