So the FCC is actually devoting time to investigate Stephen Colbert's on air anti-Trump rant?  That's a worthwhile use of government resources.

FCC to investigate, 'take appropriate action' on Colbert’s Trump rant

I hope all those liberals on social media who did their usual superiority dance to show how they were so offended and it was homophobic and so on can feel happy about being used for purposes like the above.

Hacking in the French election probably comes as no surprise but these participants may:

Or maybe it's just fake news.

I guess Jason Chaffetz can still be counted on to try to distract from TrumPutin:

Who gave TrumPutin lessons on selective application of the Constitution?

Yep. This is a perfect example of how purity contests take out allies. The same people that want Colbert fired for talking about Trump will then use this weaponized FFC to go after LGBT representation on TV. Pence will send them after every same sex kiss on television.

If this is how the GOP runs their townhalls, no wonder they're hiding out from their constituents.

GOP rep: ‘Nobody dies because they don’t have access to healthcare’

Wow. Just shows how tone deaf & unsympathetic the GOP is. 2018 is gonna be a bloodbath for them. I hope Ossoff winning here in GA in June is the first blow.

On social media, I've noticed the same i.d./handles tweeting out the same derogatory stuff about Macron over and over again.

Fortunately, the French media is taking the threat a lot more seriously than the U.S. media did last year.

This is why I get so irritated at people who complained about "identity politics" lost the election for the Democrats-- it was obviously nothing more than a tool to get women and minorities to 'shut up'  about issues that are actually important.

It was so successful in muffling people, now it is being more effectively weaponized to shut minorities out of the electoral process.

Now watch it became as effective a silencing tool as accusing someone of 'playing the Race Card' has been.

Merkel's party the Christian Democrats also won a regional election today in Germany

I've heard some chiding Macon's victory in France. But the key might be that the Fillon contingent backed Macron not LePen unlike here where the GOP fell in line right behind Trump. Also remember Melenchon, the left candidate(see Jill Stein) refused to endorse Macron. After reading that BS from the GOP aide about "Identify Politics" being used as an excuse to keep women and POC from the table on constructing a healthcare plan, can we stop pretending that the likes of many of the also extreme left Sanders followers also chiding "identity politics = bad" are allies. To me they fall into the bucket MLK warned blacks about when it came to "white liberals".

France has a lot more sense than the United States, that is for sure. A bigot gets crushed 65-35 there, yet one here received 46% of the vote and the presidency.

France's political system makes a lot more sense than ours. I also think that the dump there was done very sloppily. I do wonder if it had been done that way in the US it would have benefited Hillary. The way they did it with Hillary - leaks day after day for months on end - was brilliantly effective.
