After the issue with the White House wanting the FBI to falsely refute reports about the campaigns links to Russia, it seems likely that there is something solid there that the administration doesn't want found. Plus, there is the fact that certain media outlets have been banned from the White House.

The chairmen of both the house and senates committee on foreign intelligence has just admitted to coercing the media to stop reporting the Russian connection.  If there is nothing to find, why are they fighting so hard?

I really can't stand Bill Maher atm, but what Darrell Issa says here re: Sessions is a big deal - the dam is breaking for the GOP, much sooner than Nixon.

Swedish Democrats: Trump Is Right, Sweden’s Embrace of Refugees Isn’t Working

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/23/sweden-democrats-trump-was-right.html

Per Jimmie Akesson and Mattias Karlsson, both leaders of the Sweden Democrats, penned a Wall Street Journal op-ed on Wednesday supporting Trump’s characterization of a Muslim immigrant-led crime crisis in Sweden.

“Mr. Trump did not exaggerate Sweden’s current problems,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote. “If anything, he understated them.”

Some Swedish politicians openly derided Trump’s portrayal of the country – but riots in a heavily immigrant suburb of Stockholm on Monday evening put an end to most of the mockery.

“Riots and social unrest have become a part of everyday life,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote. “Police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel are regularly attacked. Serious riots in 2013, involving many suburbs with large immigrant populations, lasted for almost a week. Gang violence is booming. Despite very strict firearms laws, gun violence is five times as common in Sweden, in total, as in the capital cities of our three Nordic neighbors combined.”

They added: “Anti-Semitism has risen. Jews in Malmo are threatened, harassed and assaulted in the streets. Many have left the city, becoming internal refugees in their country of birth.”

“For the sake of the American people,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote, “with whom we share so many strong historical and cultural ties, we can only hope that the leaders in Washington won’t make the same mistakes that our socialist and liberal politicians did.”

Of course they would write something like that. They represent a party which has its roots in neonazism! They believe that everything that is wrong with society today is because of immigration. These statements from Trump are like Christmas and birthday presents at the same time for them.

We're going to see Border Patrol turn into the same thing we see from polices: hyper-militarized power tripping loons with zero accountability.

Yeah, a more thorough investigation was somewhat of a foregone conclusion from what I've read over the past month and a half.

Just read this article about a hate crime in Kansas and you cannot convince me that having white supremacists in the White House does not embolden people like these.

Yeah I saw the wife of the dead victim said her husband always believed only the best happened in America. We sure proved him wrong, didn't we.

And guess who will tweet feigned concern over violence in Chicago and whatever in Sweden, but remain silent on these kinds of crimes...

Republicans IMO want Pence in. I wouldn't doubt Pence is slowly placing his own people in certain positions so when te hammer falls on Trump he's off on day one...and that's when the real fight begns, because he is DANGEROUS.

Not trying to make light of this tragedy and no doubt it's awful, but you mentioned yesterday about doubting tourism will be down due to a Muslim ban. I actually agree to an extent but it's not about that. It's about the fact that this country is becoming non welcoming to anyone not Anglo white. My sister in law is here as a permanent resident with a green card from the Philippines and even she is now afraid to go home for a visit in fear of what will happen when she returns.  I think there are plenty of people who are non Muslim but " look different"  than a so called "real American" that feel the same way.

They stopped a NASA scientist born in this country at the border and demanded he unlock his phone just because he had brown skin. This kind of thing always finds ways to include new "others." Case in point, Muhammad Ali Jr. got detained and asked about his religion.
