Because Kyrten Sinema's attention follies got the desired results, looks like her pal, Joe Manchin, decided to claim his share. He told a reporter "there is no certainty" that he will remain a Democrat. (Wait, he is? /s)

Oh, god! This was my one wish. That I would never ever have to hear a peep from these two. And it all got ruined! RUINED! Back to politics ...

The largest nurses strike in England in at least a 100 years (and the BBC World News decides to make Harry& Meghan the 2nd lead headline and slaps “Breaking News” on that headline but not the nursing strike?)

One of my aunts who was a nurse with the NHS for 30 years until she got so disgusted with England and repatriated to her birthplace, would probably be nodding her head in agreement with this strike.

WTF? Aaron Rupar is one of the best.
You can try his substack for free, and here is an article he wrote yesterday about Musk.

Fyi, reasons to leave twitter from Platformer.
(Platformer writes about social media and news platforms).
This is a two-part article. The first part is about Elon's bot mess.
Scroll down the article to read the second part of it, why they suggest leaving twitter.

"Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro' the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The digitally stuffed Trump card stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that an orange turd soon would be there ..."

There have been no Supreme Court cases brought against 529s or trying to declare 529s unconstitutional.

I hope they can get this done. Maybe try to get it just for toddlers, so poor parents can afford diapers at least.

The Electoral Count Act is due to receive a vote on the Congressional floor this week. I haven’t had the opportunity to look at the particulars and details but I am aware that, in light of the events of January 16, 2021, the Electoral Count Act is a reform bill.

I know this is all sideshow material, but I'm fascinated at MTG and Boebert finally turning against each other. Some tweets claim Boebert has never liked her and wants to separate herself. I tend to wonder if MTG knows Boebert is on her way out. I could see her getting the Madison Cawthorn treatment (cut by the party for being such a huge money drain and pain in the ass).

I wonder why they're turning on Boebert. Is it all an attempt to Potemkin village McCarthy's leadership nom?

I wonder if it's to send a message to the people who are saying they won't vote for McCarthy, who is so desperate he's out there squawking that he will kill the priorities of any Republican senator who votes to fund the government.

It is telling how eager the House GOP now is to have MTG as the face of their party.  They will just keep doubling down unless the public stomps them into the ground. I hope enough people see that, and that so many scare stories about turnout among Democratic-leaning groups being down this year will have some sort of effect to get more into gear for 2024.
