^^That article is a must-read, by the way.

Yes, this lawsuit is being led by attorney general from SDNY, Letitia James and it is now 29 states that are suing the Trump administration.

If the UK economy tanks then I wonder how far Trump will run from that "trade deal" and will instead just start tweeting about how weak they are and what losers they are.

I wonder who made Trump push the latest tariffs up a few months. Someone said he is probably just waiting for the companies to be able to bail out. That makes sense.

Everyone has known he would tank the economy. And most of us have no way to cope, other than crossing our fingers.

Times like this I assume it's done deliberately, just as in 2008, where W's economy tanked and Obama got all the blame.

If?  You mean when the U.K. economy bottoms out. It's already tanking.

I imagine the people around Trump are still lying to him until it gets to the lowest level.

They are probably just planning to harvest the UK anyway (I read they want the UK to drastically lower their food safety standards).

The U.K. is one thing, anybody paying attention knew that their economy was headed for a fall but the German economy, the most stable in Europe and not prone to economic slides ( and best believe, that Trump and his cronies will not be able to harvest Germany) is also experiencing signs of an economic recession, that and the nervous Asian markets trending downward (for the moment, Asia has been...no big surprise managing economically better than the West) points to stronger signals of a recession.

It's going to take someone much smarter than Trump is capable of, to pull the global economy away from a recession.

When the media starts reporting, you know the signs are already being experienced in certain socio-economic corners. That's the way modern recessions and economic downturns work.

This is a messed up situation. Then again, that could be said for just about everything 45 touches. It's just an endless shitstorm.

Why would Netanyahu be afraid of Trump? Perhaps Trump has some information from Russia that could be damaging to him.

The tariffs have done nothing to stave off a recession and the areas that will be hardest by one are areas that voted for Trump (in part because of tariffs already harming farmers). Trump would make a recession worse.

Hasn't Netanyahu been fighting off corruption allegations for like, the last five years?  He's now fighting formal charges too.  Perhaps there are some open secrets out there that Trump cronies dug up.  Trump himself revels in employing mafioso tactics.

Speaking of unseemly persons-

That sounds like propaganda to me. I don't believe that Bibi has been bullied by Trump. They know this is a horrible optic for Israel, one that is going to do real damage long-term, and they are trying to pass the buck.

...or that (*shrugs*).

I just find it sad how Trump has reduced politics to a dick measuring contest.

Bibi was already doing this with Obama. The media hyped it up as Israel, and also Asia, humiliating Obama, especially since he didn't directly respond (as he was smart enough to not do so). Now we have a so-called "tough guy" and look where it's gotten us. On the road to nowhere.

Trump's MO for if a recession really hits until conservatives finally make the choice to blame Democrats for it.
