This time instead of risky loans made to homeowners, it is risky loans made to struggling companies.  And with the weakening of Dodd-Frank, there are again, little protections if and when this C.L.O.  situation implodes.

The NYT can annoy me and I don't read them nearly as much as I used to (I used to consume the Sunday Times) but there are still some reporting that they are able to do well, when they don't get into their own way.

Their local/New York City based reporting still rates pretty highly.  There are a few stories, here and there, that you cannot find in other newspapers.

So NYT still does some purpose for now.

I don't care for the NYT but I just had to post this. And then they came for the transgenders.

If this guidelines are implemented, I guess transgenders are back to square one as civil rights are concerned.

From said article:

“on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.”

Oh, NOW they want to bring science into it?

It's funny to me how science plays an important role in most conservatives' thinking on issues such as abortion or gender identity; yet, when it comes to climate change, something which every credible expert on the subject agrees is a serious threat to our country's safety and future, conservatives would rather stick their fingers in their ears and say, "LalalacreationismlalalaI'mnotlistening."

One of the most vulnerable groups in our country, so of course that's who he attacks.  I'm hoping this is just red meat for the base and they will back off after the election.  He's a mean and petty person though, so I put nothing past him, no matter how delusional and stupid.

One of the arguments that I hate most from Conservatives: "If we allow gender-neutral bathroom facilities in our nation's schools (and elsewhere), girls are more likely to be sexually assaulted!"

First of all, do they even know or care how low the chances of that happening are?  I think you're more likely to get mauled by that mythical bear that Betsy DeVos believes school employees should arm themselves against!

What happened with Van Jones?  I've always liked him, tbh.
