Going back and watching the hearing, and I am so proud of Congressman Jeffries. You Know that it is KILLING Sessions that he had to answer to a Black man.  It was obviously killing him (too) that Jeffries is very astute and pinning his ass to the wall.

Whoever wrote that article isn't kidding about our shortfalls.  As of right now, we have a $250 million deficit and every plan that our state legislature has come up with has been voted down, with Governor Mary Fallin threatening to hold the special session until Christmas if that's what it will take.  The issue?  All proposed remedies favor the energy industry (who LOVES Governor Fallin, who loves them right back), while everything and everyone else, if certain Republican congressmen have their way, will be taxed into the poorhouse.

Even better: according to one source, Allison Ikley-Freeman is openly gay and in a same-sex marriage.  I doubt most who voted for her even knew that.  But, if they did, then that just shows to go you how desperate we are for change in OK.
