Biden's top line is rumored to be 2.0 T which is closer to Manchin and the Republicans top line of 1.5 T than 3.5 T. Much of the narrative has been about how much is costs (which is always the case when it comes to Democratic sponsored bills) than what is actually in it or what will be left in it when it passes. More from AOC.

The topline quoted for Biden was actually 1.8 to 2.3, which you'd know if you weren't deliberately cherrypicking, and which is about where this bill was always going to end up anyway - probably between 2 and 2.5.

But I can always count on you to show up and drag a Democratic victory and insist it doesn't count because the number went down at all. I did tell you you would do exactly this when it got close to passing, didn't I? Shall I quote my post?

Yes you can dig up that post, my post on what I said in context of passing bills  too or any post for that matter. You can decide then if I'm a right winger like Joe Rogan or a Young Turk like you said I was. I'm my own my man and I march by the beat of my own drum.

I already heard about 1.8T between and 2.3 T that quoted by Biden but the 2.0 T is being floated out there too.

This exact bill, is what it was in reference to. You are already setting yourself up to claim it's a failure when it passes if it's below 3.5, when any sane person knew it would be below 3.5. By determining that in advance as your condition for victory you never have to admit you're wrong (a record I have already enumerated at length, but we've been over that).

It's okay if you wanted Bernie. It's not okay to tear down any Democratic achievement because you've got sour grapes. Bernie is behind this bill, BTW.

Nice try but I didn't vote for Bernie and that's on record too and you should already know that since you see and know it all.  I also see you are burying the lead (you have a tendency do that) and making what I said all price of the bill when that isn't the case. You have already proven you don't care what's in these bills and long as they pass.

Mm, that's not true in the slightest, but I did tell you months ago that you would automatically dismiss this bill's passage if it ever went below 3.5 (actually, you used to insist it be 6 trillion in order to count). And that's exactly what you're doing, preemptively, because all you ever do is concern troll about Democrats. Every time you've been wrong you've moved the goalposts. You don't care what's in the bill. That's okay though, we'll educate you in the coming days anyway. Enjoy!

They are having a long fall from grace, as they were  mad that few of the Democrats they backed in 2020 were doing what they wanted. I imagine they will go begging the GOP for support, even if it means having little voice and going along with election fraud hysteria and authoritarianism, with zero policy beyond  the inevitable tax cuts for the rich.

    • I still see Alfonso Ribeiro as Carlton when Martin gets angry.
    • Not that I want to defend Y&R's writers, but it's not as absurd as you'd think and I believe they plucked it from reality (and then bungled it). The Estee Lauder Companies purchased Tom Ford's brand several years ago and I am willing to bet that's how Jabot came to buy Marchetti.
    • Loved the episode today. looking forward to the fallout. Nubian-Sheila looked fantastic, but I wish the writers would cut back on her overuse of figurative language. I loved the "fix yo mind ministries" line though. The background music during her fantasy confrontation with Nicole was epic.
    • Nothing makes sense on this show. I wish there was a garbage can emoji. That sums up 90% of the show right now.

Jane Wyman return episode was head-to-head w/ Cheers season 8 finale. Falcon Crest broadcast syndication began Fall 1986, which overlapped w/ Oprah going national. AFAIK cable broadcasts were Lifetime and Soapnet. I have no memory of cable broadcasts on TBS, TNT, TNN, E!, FX.
    • After today’s rushed and abrupt exit for Summer I immediately realized that Josh & Co. were very blindsided by AL’s decision to leave.  Not the first time this has happened to JG either; see MM & HK’s exits in 2021, MM’s exit in 2022, and of course TSJ’s exit last year. Obviously JG and our executive in charge of nothing Steve Kent don’t have a good handle on casting disruptions. And Mariah having an offscreen affair is [!@#$%^&*] ridiculous!! Meanwhile Tessa’s blonde hair is overkill with the number of blondes on the show already. I said the same thing 3 years ago…of course it was utterly ridiculous everyone was mad at Sally for getting Summer he dream job (don’t ask lol) but there was so much the show could have done without bringing on the Marchetti angle.
    • Does the ball on GL where Philip revealed that he had forced Alan out of Spaulding count or was that not Philip's idea?  There was a ball on AMC where Adam revealed that he had bankrupted Palmer, I think (or was it the other way around?), but I can't remember who threw that.
    • Thanks for honoring Ruth Buzzi. She was a treasure. I'm glad DAYS let her have some fun. I remember Imogene Coca complaining about ATWT just giving her a drab guest part.
    • It's such a delicious set of circumstances that I'm actually a little surprised that I can't think of ones that exactly match. I've just got a couple of close but no cigars (the reveal wasn't public, like when Alexis told Dominique at her and Garrett's engagement party that Garrett lied about being married; or the revealer didn't come up with the idea of the party). Maybe I need to think some more about it.
