I'm hoping the complete opposite that AMC's RATINGS will drop to the bottom. The Jerry Springer storyline they wrote for Zach/Bianca/Reese is just plain nasty and disgusting. There is no way long time fans of this show thinks this Torado storyline for the cast was good. It was extremely poor writing for everyone except may JR/Babe. The rest of the show sucks big time and deserves nothing but low, low RATINGS for this trash that they put on my screen these last few days and it's going to get even worst.

I'm a long time fan, and I think this is great soap. I think individual fanbases who want particular stories for their favs might be upset, but the show overall is looking up. The types of stories Pratt is writing are like old style soap stories (with some modern technology).. the same sorts of conflicts, relationships, etc.

I'm no newbie to AMC.. I first watched in the 70s. I took some time off here and there, but overall I've watched it since childhood.

I think the tornado storyline so far has been outstanding.

Uh, Bianca fans are hurt too. Not to mention this Jesse/Angie fan who's simply just not feeling their storyline. And let's not forget we've got to endure Rylee/Aidan/Annie. And it seems they still can't really find a storyline for Tad that lasts more than a few weeks.

I love the assumption that all longtiime soap fans want the same thing. I've watched AMC on and off for more than 25 years and I've enjoyed the tornado storyline although it's had some weak spots.

Bianca's story has a lot of people pissed. So does Jesse's. The discussion of the war also upset some people. I'm not bothered by any of it

Well that is your opinion. This long time thought the writing was awesome.

Yeah, there's no way GH got #1 (Y&R did) and GH has been second or tying for second forever, so barring a fall from their home base they probably did the same this week, which would give us this so far:

1.(1) Y&R

2.(3) DAYS 1.3/08 (SAME)

2.(2) GH 1.3/08 (-.1)

This long-time AMC fan has been loving the tornado and fall-out.

That said, I'm don't think the ratings will be anything to cheer over. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if AMC went down. I don't think anything can really change things for AMC.

    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
