Did anyone else notice the slight change in the werewolf make-up during the Leviathan storyline (as compared to the werewolf earlier in 1969 and 1897)? Suddenly the werewolf had strange cheek-bone projections that had never been visible before. It makes the make-up look more like a plastic mask, rather than applied make-up. Can anyone speculate on why this change was made?

It caught my eye in a Dark Shadows forum. The set was probably created around the time the cancellation was announced. I have about 125 episodes to go, but it's been a while since I was watching them.

 

Now, how were they going to explain how Collinwood existed that long ago, lol?

That photo was originally posted on that group as a joke. Per the original poster, "Ok - Dark Shadows Fans - I want to avoid any Fact Checkers calling me out - this is actually a photo of a house in Herculaneum destroyed when Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79 (I accidentally put AD 70 on my original post) OOPS - I was attempting a bit of humor because to ME it looked like the foyer and staircase at Collinwood (in the 'new house" and I was making a sly reference to a story line that never aired because it was never filmed (although it might have been an interesting story line if Quentin stayed on the Stairway Into Time too long and went way beyond the 1795 story line) Cheers !!!"

That makes more sense! Would have been fun though. Julia and Barnabas are starting to remind me of Family Guy's Brian and Stewie with the time machine.

Bless people for thinking that's a real set - especially with a 60s soap opera produced on the cheap!

I do love the idea of Barnabas going to 79 AD and yet again introducing himself as a cousin.

Bless your heart for thinking they had the budget for that kind of set. Plus - it has a ROOF! Sets never have those lol

I think that this Ms. Berry later changed the spelling of her first name to "Leigh."
