Thanks for sharing. The triangle that never was ends in a way no one predicted. 43 minutes ago, Vee said: I'm just astonished you have a cast of a show like this where most of them seem to get along and don't hate each other's guts, lol. Melrose Place was the same way, bless them. With Knots I'd say it's down to most of them having been in the industry for a long time before the show, but I know that isn't always the case.
April 23, 2025Apr 23 Member I'm sure when some long running shows end the cast never see each other again. With Knots does that comradeship extend to all the cast? Or are there some out of the loop, and others only in touch with particular castmates?

We do know Kevin Dobson, Ted Shackelford, Donna Mills, Michele Lee and Joan Van Ark seem to be the cloest. Dobson of course has passed away and we never see or hear about Ted which makes me worry about how he may be doing. Joan and Constance remained close with Julie Harris until her death. I know Constance is close with Michele, William Devane and John Pleshette. Claudia Lonow and Michele Lee have remained close and I remember Lonow included Lee on her ABC sitcom How To Live With Your Parents. The Knots and Dallas casts feel like they've done a lot to stay in touch compared to some of the primetime soaps. You definitely didn't have that on Dynasty or Falcon Crest.

All ICONS IMO. Connie and Willam seem to hang out a lot. I see pics of them floating on social every 6 months LOL.

I believe it was a sensitive situation for her at that time; being an aging actress and probably having similar things happen in her life. Michelle asks if she has ever been jealous of another actor on Knots, Donna says No; but thought it was sorta unfair to be put into competition with someone half her age. They agreed with her too!

Kind of gives a new perspective when watching this scene Also, who knew Abby was such a liberal that she thought about intersectionality?

Just as I always thought it was ridiculous seeing AMC's Erica Kane spar with women who were young enough to be her daughter.
April 24, 2025Apr 24 Member Surprising to hear about Lar Park Lincoln, she was awfully young. Like soap fans, the horror world never forgets; she was always royalty there. It's been especially gratifying for me this last decade to see so many daytime stars from cancelled soaps embraced by the horror fandom who remember their early work after their soap careers have largely ended, but Lincoln was ahead of the curve. I look forward to seeing her Knots run in time, which seems a world away from her mousy Carrie-esque character in Friday the 13th.
April 24, 2025Apr 24 Member RIP Lar Park Lincoln. Linda Fairgate was the future of Knots Landing. It’s unfortunate TPTB did not see it.
April 24, 2025Apr 24 Member @Vee You got that right! I actually learned of her death via a good friend of mine who is a huge horror movie fanatic on his Facebook with pictures he had taken with her at a couple different conventions over the years. Linda was one of my favorite characters of the show for its later years and it was her brutal murder that had me stop watching the show. i definitely do remember Lincoln as Tina in Friday the 13th along with a young Kevin Spirtas, it’s been ages since I watched any of those movies though. I was surprised she didn’t get more work in the 90’s although I don’t know why or if there was a backstory. I remember she popped up on 90210 for a brief role. May she RIP.
