Oh no...watch out!!

Exactly and that's how his scenes today felt like.

Yup!

He turned bitchy drama queen ever since Noah came into the picture. He was never like that with Kevin.

He is definetly not a powerhouse actor.

You know, with that facial expression, he kind of resembles Chad Lowe. I don't mind him at all.... like I said before, twinkie drama queens are everywhere, soemtimes he DOES remind me of QAF's Justin, "I'll go to New York!!! And sell my body to gross old homos!!! I'm going to throw up!" I do think he's cute, though. What kind of guys is he into? Someone said he had a BF? What's he like?

Wow... I haven't watched ATWT in a few years, but I can't believe how Luke's changed. He was, like, the anti-Twink originally. He was almost too nice, too selfless. WTH has apparently happened?

Oh, that's completely legitimate. :D To me it kind of does, but I might be wrong. People loved him, then there was a whisper here and there how he isn't all that, nobody really payed attention to those comments, and voilà — here we are today. :D

LOL, I get what you're saying. I can't speak for everyone, but for me, I still stand by my praise for Van back in '06. I thought the story, the character, and him were great from about February up until June/July, when the Damian stuff kinda took over. The character of Luke, and Van's acting, was just different when it came time for Noah to show up, and I haven't heaped too much praise on him since then. Granted, I was excited for Luke/Noah for the first month or two, but like most everything else on this show, there was potential for a good, drawn-out story, and yet that potential was squandered for the sake of a quick fix. Sigh...such is the way of ATWT.

Noah and Luke are the first significant gay couple in daytime, and so I get that, and I get that everyone wants to support them, but at the same time...how is supporting shitty storylines really supporting them as a couple? If I had the pull that some fans have, I would have called shenanigans on Luke "falling for" Noah after only like...four or five OakdaleDays of knowing him. That kiss ban? I wouldn't have rallied to have them kiss, I would have said "[!@#$%^&*] you, ATWT" and took my viewership elsewhere, which I did because nothing on the show was interesting me at the time anyway.

And I'm getting long-winded again, as I tend to do when I'm discussing this, but oh well. I just think...ugh. If you're going to raise a big stink about something like a fricken kiss, where is the outrage over the generally [!@#$%^&*]-EATING storylines on this show? Why can't you go on CNN and tell them that soaps are a mere shell of what they used to be? Soaps, and in particular, soap fans, finally had a chance to be HEARD on various news/entertainment programs, and what did they decide to devote that opportunity to? A KISS!? It just bugs the crap out of me. Now ATWT is thinking "We're doing an A+ job with Luke and Noah now that they're kissing often! The fans ought not have ANY problems with Luke and Noah and their storylines now! All they wanted was a few kisses!"

NO!!!! NO!!!!!

I'll admit I haven't watched ATWT regularly for a while but the judging from the last episode I saw him in he did fine. He sometimes makes bad choices but I think he's still quite talented and has charisma. YMMV.

Great post. Those who do support them could care less about the s h i t t y stories they are given. Why aren't they complaining? When Nuke is on the show is excellent. When almost anyone else on the show is on the show sucks. I've seen posts after posts with that kind of message.

I wish instead of Nuke we would get vets in place of them in a story. Seriously, Nuke's stories dissolve into nothing. They have no substance to them. They are giving them a story just for the hell of it.

    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
    • It's interesting to watch this having watched The Doctors. I'm not sure I'm seeing that much of a difference in the characters Gerald Gordon and Anna Stuart played on The Doctors and what they're playing here.
    • I keep forgetting a huge chunk of that year was written by scabs. You're probably right, because by the time the strike was over, they were likely planning an exit for Alan's character as it must have been obvious by then that Bernau was not going to return. If he was still there, it's also doubtful they would have approached MZ and MG about coming back. Wild.
