Members j swift
@Wendy of course money was involved, my mistake, here's the amusingly poorly translated summary from the French SB site. Mason was always a sucker for the promise of a consequent heritage from his father (lesson learned: always get the cash up front). C.C. Capwell learns by chance the identity of the father of the child, he orders Mason to marry Victoria. To keep intact the couple of Eden and Cruz, he proposes a consequent heritage to Mason if he adopts by the same occasion the child and gives him the name of Capwell. What does Mason, who marries Victoria in a ceremony one cannot sober any more. Victoria is confined a little time later at the beach house with the help of Cruz, who is unaware at this time that he is the father of the baby that he helps to born. Mason takes immediately officially in charge the declaration of birth, not omitting to baptize the baby of his own choice C.C. Capwell III. Members amybrickwallace
When did they find out about the true paternities of Chip and Samantha? That I don't remember. I always thought it odd that both Chip and Adriana were blond and fair-skinned, with Cruz as their father. If SB was on the air now, no way would there not be a backlash.
Members Beach Climber
There were a few reveals with Samantha. Victoria figured it out when Julia was still pregnant because of how Mason was acting towards her, CC found out when she was born because the hospital accidentally called him when Julia was in labor instead of Mason, and everyone else who didn’t know found out not too long after she was born after they located a kidnapped Mason. With Chip, the truth came out when he was sick and they needed Cruz to be his donor. I found it a bit lackluster though since it was so long after he was born and Mason and Tori were long divorced and he hardly acted like a father towards Chip by that point.
Members Marissa Gallant
He he! I knew I could get people riled up with that post. But I still liked Mason's Shakespeare The producers didn’t expect Mason and Julia because they were stupid and blind. These are the same people who didn't jump on the chance to get Jed at the beginning and allowed Louise to leave.
Members Marissa Gallant
By the time the marriage happened, there were too many Mason and Julia scenes and there was no going back from that. And yes, a lot of money was involved. Mason told CC that the baby could be his and CC offered a lot of money for Mason to marry her.
Members amybrickwallace
Yes, now I remember. How could I forget, with that ancient and tired trope?
Members Marissa Gallant
Uhm, because you've attempted to block out all things Torie?
Members amybrickwallace
Tori never bothered me as much as she bothered other fans, but I still didn't like her that much. Not because of Kristen Meadows' performances, but because the writing for the character was so thankless that no actress could have salvaged Tori. But, as always, to each his/her own!

Members amybrickwallace
Todd Manning faked having DiD on OLTL in an elaborate storyline, if that counts.
Members Wendy
Who was played by Terry Lester, a.k.a. Mason Capwell #2. Funny how that works.
Members Marissa Gallant
Thank you. I thought that DiD was mostly a soap woman problem and it seems I'm right.
Members amybrickwallace
I'm not nearly as familiar with the later years of SB (post-1989) as I am with the earlier years. Was Lane the only Mason who dealt with the split personality?
Members Wendy
Technically, yes. Although it was mentioned during Gordon Thomson's tenure and tied in to his proposing to Julia again. (Julia had Mason kidnapped to Las Vegas and some strange woman showed up to Mason's hotel room, claiming to have married Mason [when he was Sonny]. LONG story. Played for humor.)
