I disliked Nick more than Dylan Hartley, (and Nick seemed so much older than Kelly)  Something about the mullet-DNA in that family was very unappealing.

I forgot that after Nick, Kelly met a psychiatrist named Justin Moore (played by Larry Poindexter, later of GH).  It was during the phase when she worked at La Mesa and had her own apartment.  Kelly was trying to create her own identity away from the other Capwells.  That was also a lost thread that would have differentiated the character of Kelly from the other Capwell kids.

As for Kirk, I enjoy the 80s yuppie qualities of Kirk that contrasted him with Cruz.  He plays not only on Eden's desire to please CC and save the company, but also on her expectations for upward mobility that a cop on a boat could not fulfill.

I always thought it was interesting that Kelly fell for Joe, who came from a middle class family.  And you saw in the first months of the show how close she became to the Perkins family.

It seemed early Kelly was more of a Tori Spelling type (wanted to carve her own identity outside her family).

I do agree that had this been more explored, it would have helped develop Kelly's character.

Mason was the prodigal son, Eden the favored daughter, and Ted was the baby of the family so everyone loved and nurtured him.

Kelly wasn't the favored daughter, and seemed aimless...trying to find security and somewhere to belong.  It's why she was close to the Perkins family, and even tried to make peace with Pamela..Jeffrey's mom.

Eden is on my last nerve. You stupid fool. Don't pull the plug. This is very simple. Kirk is scamming you. Cruz is your rock. Let him be your rock.

"But Daddy wanted," whine whine wazzee wazzee woo woo.

Arghh. I'm at 321, it's a long road to 368.

You are correct. There were so many ways they could have gone other than Damsel in distress.

I preferred Nick, but I don't object to May/December. (Except CC and Santana).

The best part of these episodes is the softening of Mason. The rest is making me want to bang my head into a wall.

I let the episodes play in the background while I work. My job requires zero brain usage. Like full on zero. So, I watch and hit pause if it's something that I want to concentrate on. And then, I note it and watch it big when I can.

Gotcha! That's funny, I I watch in prime time, especially now that all my usual evening shows are on hiatus until September / October. And I sure as heck am not watching the Olympics

Santa Barbara was the first real soap I I watched. I took a long hiatus after that and then watched y&r for about 6 years, then life got in the way. I tuned in occasionally nowadays for a few minutes, but it's just not what I'm used to. Everything is so boring and slow moving. I also watched GH for about 3 years and As the World Turns right before it was canceled.

I forgot to mention that it was funny to me that Julia walking in on Jack Lee flirting with his new secretary was the end of that situation. Clearly, the writers didn't know what was happening with the actor, whether he was going to come back or not. We know that the actor died 2 to 3 months later. That Eric character, who's supposed to be Jack Lee's assistant, was played by a pretty decent actor. I googled him, and he seems to have done quite a bit of theater work in London and New York. I think by this time they had already cooked up the Kirk Cranston idea so Eric had to go

You're welcome enjoy. So far only up to June or July of 1992. It's not easy watching the Ballymoor story.

You're welcome enjoy. SB isn't my cup of tea. But i've been enjoying the episodes more than i thought i would.

Thank you, I've been aware of this website as well. They actually used to be on YouTube, but this person decided to move off of there about 6 months ago because their videos kept getting deleted and I believe they wanted to monetize it also.

The Russian site pretty much has every episode in usually English and Russian. They list which language each episode is in and most episodes have up to 3 versions of varying quality.  it's all in Russian though so you would have to use a translator of some sort, and you have to register to view the content, otherwise, if you're just a guest on their message board, all those threads and posts are invisible to you so you would have to be registered.

date: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | Ron Carlivati, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Michael V. Pomarico Not Dana letting Vernon know that she is aware of his presence at the Bowman. No bueno. She cannot handle keeping things to herself for a period of time. Spoilt bitch, no offence, but I cannot stand you. You are getting everything you deserve. I like that Ted is not willing to take sides in Eva's battle with her sister. That is smart. As much of a problem as I have had with Martin since day one, I appreciate him seeing Eva as she is: his sister. So refreshing. Not Anita overhearing Dana and Vernon's conversation. How unfortunate. I love how happy Martin is for Eva. That is what a sibling does! And speak on it: the spoilt bitch needs to shut her trap before someone (Eva) shuts it for her. Aw, how cute is it that Andre and Dani are re-exchanging vows? Just a shame it will not last when Dani goes back to Bill and Andre goes to Ashley. And he said the four-letter word! Eva and Martin's banter is so cute; I love that she offered to talk to Samantha, whom she formed a bond with at one point in time doing her hair. And her face when the spoilt bitch made her presence known is how I feel whenever she shows up, opens her mouth, and acts like she is God's gift to the DMV. "Well, not anymore," get her, Eva. GET HER! Yesssssss. Anita has a vivid imagination? Ooh-la-wee! Anita, let us in on it. Please. Why do I feel like Dana is not talking to Ted about Peaches but about what Vernon is [supposedly] doing with Sharon? Hmm. Wow... I am surprised. It IS about Peaches. Colour me surprised. Ooh! I am so happy that Martin overheard the spoilt bitch wish Dana had "gotten rid" of Eva. Let her have it, sir! DO IT! Notes: Right when I thought I would catch a break after writer2 yesterday, today we are stuck with the writer. At least, like Danielle Paige yesterday, we have one of this soap's best scriptwriters (Brown) writing. I am sorry, but this soap's take on half-siblings or even step-siblings is very off-putting, as if they are less than full-blooded siblings, when in reality they are as special and important. The food at Uptown definitely rivals Orphey Gene's; it does look absolutely delicious and comforting. Sean Freeman (Andre) showed up today with the emotional pull. I knew he had it in him, and it is beautiful to see at the hands of Brown's scripted words.
    • Spot on Jason impression from Carlos lol
    • Brittany Snow is on Las Cultch.   She talks briefly about working with Hayden Panettiere and mentions that Laura-Bell Bundy "saved her ass", but no details.  It sounds like being a kid on a New York soap was a wild time.
    • Yes Martin Kat IS a giant baby, speak on it sweetie
