GL: Actress to jump to ABC?

Kelly crossed my mind too, Ryan. Not sure about Cassie - but Kelly, I can definitely see. Kassie and Beth would be fun to watch together.

It's been so long since we've seen Cassie, I think with a dye job she could pull it off. Besides Kelly, Cassie (or Marty) who could she come back as? If not a new character?

I'd rather ABC focus on hiring better writers for their shows, instead of hiring these popular actors to try and distract from the bad writing <_<

ITA!!! They need to hire better writers, then you can hire all these actors.

If she leaves GL that would be a HUGE loss to GL. GL is a sinking ship and it looks like everyone wants out!

How very sad. Despite the fact that Harley is now an unrecognizable tramp, BE's leaving would be just another nail in the coffin for Guiding Light.

I could also see her as Kelly, and if it means Dan Gauthier comes back as Kevin then I'm all the more for it. However, I really think she belongs on GL...aside from Zimmer she's the star and it would be a blow to the show if they lost her.
I agree with you, UKBoi, and Ryan. I think Beth Ehlers would make a good Kelly. She's not right for Cassie, not at all (Julie Pinson would make a great Cassie though). Beth could make a good Marty too, but I hope Susan Haskell comes back as Marty.

Go for it, Beth! I'd love to see her on OLTL or AMC. Those two shows could be refugee camps for talented GL vets like Jerry ver Dorn and RPG.

Obviously, the actors at GL recognize how ridiculous this shell of a former great show has become.

These P&G actors probably realize that their shows will most likely be gone within the next 2 years, so they're looking out for themselves for the long term. That combined with what are probably better salaries at ABC...well, why wouldn't they jump ship? They have families and certain lifestyles to support. Their loyalty to their shows and their fans can only take them so far.

BE would not work as one of the Cramers. She's too old for Kelly and Cassie...no. Also her personality and manner are drastically different than either.

I agree. Plus, for someone with her profile in soaps, being a recast almost feels like a demotion.

Okay...what about bringing Beth on as Julie Chandler on AMC. We have not seen Julie in ages. Heck bring her on OLTL as on of Roxy's kin...BE and IK now that would be awesome and you talk about some entertaining scenes. But is she wanting to move her boys out to the West Coast, if so then I bet GH will find a place for her.

I could see her as Hayley

But are you willing to sit through Jake and Hayley? You KNOW Frons would have AMC go down that route...
