They don't have anything to lose! What's the worst outcome, more averted kisses? The only press ATWT gets outside of the soap mags is because of Nuke. It looks pretty pathetic that last summer their story was promoted on Entertainment Tonight and became the toast of YouTube, only to have it fizzle into an unsatisfying cop out. It's P&G's problem.

I fully support the fact that Nuke Fans want to support the couple. I am all for that and its nothing against them its TPTB that I don't trust. I mean I am a Luke and Noah Fan myself and would love to see them kiss. I just don't want TPTB to screw it up and have it backfire on them and with the way they are I wouldn't be suprised if they backfired it. I mean it definetly could go both ways. I just hope that everything works out.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...................................................

There are SO much bigger problems than this. What about the impending fate of Days of Our Lives, an iconic soap for many? What about the departure of Martha Byrne, ATWT's child-star-turned-daytime-legend? What about the fact that due to shifting in programming and networks shifting their interests around, soaps might not live to see 2010?

So what? They haven't kissed since (insert date). Yes, they are a soap couple fan fave. And I agree they should be shown the same courtesy that other soap couples are given. But this is kinda like your house burning down and being worried that you're going to be late for work. Get your priorities in order, ya know? There's a far larger, far more important issue (or issueS) at hand.

But that's just how I feel. :)

I don't see why people are shocked they've kept the romance to a minimum..... they start out all progressive than fade to either the backburner or just "friends" It happened on AMC, it already once happened on ATWT with that straight kid Luke was lusting after and its happening again. The Nuke fans and I as a member from the gay/lesbian community is outraged.... however Actor87 does bring up a good point, there are far more important things happening in daytime right now that warrant national press coverage.

This is fabulous publicity for ATWT. Much as I can't stand the show, if the writers hold out the next kiss until May sweeps - And that's probably what's being written right now - the press for the next "kiss" will send the ratings through the roof.

Despicable for a show that sucks all kinds of donkey balls.

The publicity has been fantastic! It was even covered by my local paper in Denver. The fact that they mentioned that ATWT had the first male gay character 20 years ago and that they have a couple that people like and WANT to kiss is wonderful for the show. (Even though I stopped watching earlier this year, I don't want the show to end.) Maybe people will tune in? Keep in mind that they noted that ATWT was the first show to actually SHOW two men kissing is positive. I hope this does open up discussion. There is nothing wrong with that. And, those who note that Noah may have to marry someone, which will keep Nuke apart...uh, this is a soap and keeping couple we want together apart is the reason why you tune in tomorrow! I'm glad the mainstream media found this noteworthy. Let the fireworks begin!

    • If the shooter is Arnold, I am not going to be happy. Agreed.  Again, I really like the pace of the mystery. RonC always wrote a shocking crime, then it would be solved only through exposition at the end.  I feel like the audience is being shown some respect by them carefully closing all the loopholes.  For example, having Shawn-D call Rafe to turn in his gun was a clever device to get Gabi to confess. As much as I agree with @carolineg about the odd shift in Sophia's character, this plot is starting to make me angry.  A woman is denied an abortion and forced to raise a child?  It is gross.  The stomach pains are a hopeful foreshadowing.  But, if she fakes pregnancy, or hides his miscarriage, I am going to scream!!! Roman continues to be a mench, but I have to admit that I can never keep track of the difference between Max and Benjy.  I guess it helps that Benjy is dead.  Are Max and Benjy still related to Carly?
    • If Sally Field had been more generous about the writing I would say that her assessment is really very fair. I found Soapdish very funny. The cast is great. Delirious with John Candy and Mariel Hemingway (and Emma Samms!) came out the same year and I had expected to prefer Delirious, but Soapdish is one that I can watch repeatedly.
    • I love SOAPDISH but I think TOOTSIE is better. Generally I am quite fond of gender-benders. VICTOR, VICTORIA, most favorite.
    • On GL we only saw young GA's Philip in very short shorts but on AMC we saw GA's Alec McIntyre in a speedo.  But, on GL, an older GA/Philip is having sex with Olivia in a hotel room where Bruce Barry was directing & he & she both end up down to nothing but black underwear & at one point his bicep is covering her entire upper body so it appears that she is naked. I think they ended up on the floor between the bed & the wall. That was when I realized that Grant's body was better than Steve Burton's. (Olivia was cheating. Her husband Alan was in the hospital.) It is notable that I can speak with any insight AT ALL about these bodies since that is not the team I play for! LOL
    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
