WHOO. Jack and Erica are RED HOT. Best line of the day after Jack asks if that is a dress he bought for her. "You took it off me often enough" WHEW  Loved how Erica handled this. She got him going but wouldn't let him take her home because she wants more than one night with him...she wants the lifetime :P She's already in love and wanting him back. It's up to him this time.

I am loving Angie and I loved seeing Jesse too. Can't wait for the hospital scenes on Monday.

WHOO! Jack and Erica are dog tired! They're like daytime's version of Ross and Rachel. After the thirtieth start and stop over the last ten years (this time in 1998, they were engaged -- then Erica had "Goodbye Sex" with Mike Roy and shot that all to hell), they've become boring! Erica never changes, but somehow Jack gets back together with her -- only to have the 60 year old teenager screw it up, and then Jack leaves her... only to be her lapdog for another year, then somehow gives in, takes her back, the heffa still ain't changed, and then she does something else to screw up their relationship, and it's just the same old predictable cycle over and over again.

How about getting them back together and this time have a diagnosis of, I dunno, MENOPAUSE, or ovarian or breast cancer... something dramatic yet adult and realistic to threaten their relationship? Why do we have to continue watching the same predictable crap of "Gee, how long will Jack and Erica be together THIS go around before Erica spreads her legs for another man again -- this time citing dietary reasons."

I would kill for a story like that and most of us have been asking for it but they dont' want to write Erica any other way than glamourous and perfect. That makes me very sad because it would give Susan Lucci a great chance to show her stuff and get back on that Emmy train. The man a minute thing bores me too believe me but that's the hand I am dealt so those are the cards I have to play.

LMAO to your whole post. I don't understand why erica even has to be married at this point, the she isn't a one man woman and never will be. Jack and erica are TIRED and need to be over PERMANENTLY. A good storyline won't even help jerica, because once its over erica be ready to spread her legs to the next man that gives her his full attention.

But about todays show I loved the ending today with jesse/frankie, it was so touching. Amc is finally revealing it true old self.

JESSE  Ok, whoever found this guy playing Frankie deserves some major KUDOS - they look like frakking twins! I love it!

I can't wait for Monday's show - but specifically - I can't wait for the episode where Angie/Jesse come face to face. It's almost like a major Tad/Dixie reunion for me....and people, that is MAJOR. So anyone know the day this happens? I'm spoiler-free, but wanna know the date so I can get excited.

Erica looked HOT and FIERCE in that white jacket at the end.

Loved loved loved Opal visiting Frankie and giving him the picture of his parents. I love how Opal is being used for this comeback.

I'm glad Babe forgave Amanda for what she did...I mean seriously...Babe really just needs to not care and stop judging. This nuBabe is just so one-dimensional and I can't stand how she gives out ZERO emotion. I want Alexa back soooo bad.

Rebecca Budig gave me chills from that preview. I love how she is totally nailing these scenes, and when I think about how Sabine would do these scenes - *shudder* - Rebecca blows her out of the water.

LOVE the new set. The hospital looks great. Im wondering though, when did htey have time to remodel...lol

They should make Josh a doctor again. with the show having a new hospital set and a new medical based storyline going, the show could use another male doctor besides Joe and they arleady have one. Josh is being wasted working for Zach and he should go back into medicine and into the action with Angie and the rest of teh crew over there.

Love that Jesse is back but he has some splaining to do

As usual, loved Babe and Ritchie. Those two always put a smile on my face

Cheap I remember you wondering a while back if Cassandra was african american. I went and looked up The City history and I had totally forgot the whole "black woman adopting a white baby" story....

The City was so fresh in their story telling while still possessing the social conscience Agnes Nixon always wanted for her shows. It still makes me sad ABC never gave it much of a shot.

    • I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me. ETA-I feel like the Bistro might just die and people will just pretend to order food there like Leo did today.  Sophia is on bed rest so no one works there anymore.  They can use that set for something else.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
