Since Bell, Minnis and Alden (and Elizabeth Snyder in the credits at CBS.com's broadcasts) are still listed as writers, does that mean they wrote these breakdowns pre-strike while scab writers are writing the dialog? I'm assuming it's not anyone who has gone fi-core writing dialog, or else they would list their names.

Any idea why Cwikly seems to have vanished after just a handful of episodes? Right now, it's just Griffith and Arena-Bell listed in the credits?

B&B is now the 4th soap to air non-WGA covered episodes.

- Michael Minnis last listed as Associate Head Writer on January 21

- Kay Alden last listed as Associate Head Writer on January 21

- Elizabeth Snyder last listed as Associate Head Writer on January 21

- Bradley Bell last listed as Head Writer on January 21

My thoughts exactly. Not that I blame Brad, I'd write the show too if I owned it. I mean the fact is that an awful lot of the soap writers 'on strike' aren't. Thanks to the internet, writers can write uncredited material and submit it and get paid without anyone knowing a thing.

And at least one B&B actor (who asked to be quoted anonymously in print) told Soaps in Depth that Brad has been cutting back his time in the office/studio, even as EP. So if the above were true, that would imply he's asking actors to cover for him, and what actor would want to risk that for his or her boss?

Maybe 'cause he's busy fixing Y&R?

The list of cleanup increases:

- Clark/David Chow revealed to be a different person...sounds like the start of his endgame

- Victor's (stupid) murder story ended with the convenient finding of an alibi

- Newman divorce/clear spring suit...ending today I think

- Jeff Bardwell...

- Jana out of prison...and I'm speculating off the canvas soon...

Almost every lamebrain thing that was done, it seems to me, is being repaired. We're seeing the return of classic flower shots, longer scenes, AND pregnant pauses at the end of scenes. There's a Bell in behind this, I'm telling you! This is just speculation, but I'd be looking for Brad either across the hall, or working furiously from his study at Casa Bell.

    • Lucky said he’s gonna travel this summer with Aidan. It was a quick line. Willow looks dumber by the day somehow.
    • Well, I do love a good soap himbo who can wear some pants...and very much blue jeans.

But yeah, I can see it. I saw it more with Hayley though.
    • Ewww....I love MKA, but GL wasted her returns. I do think she sleeps with Ross, or gets darn close.   So...against my better judgment, I slid into '86 to find Vanessa confessing to Henry about being pregnant...and it's NOT William Roerick, DAMN IT. It's some damn temp Henry. But then it gets weirder because I'm listening in German, and it's the same voice fooling me.
    • I hope the writers understand how pathetic and stupid Willow looks in order to continue this madness with Drew. Willow has become a laughingstock. Lucky didn't say goodbye to Aidan? Pathetic!!! Maybe then she can buy clothes that fit her. The blouse she had on today was three sizes too big.
    • I really enjoyed the first half of season 9. It was dark but Emma, Angela, Lance and Richard were front and center.  Pilar and Frank were finally interesting.  Charley, Michael and Genele came in and caused a lot of drama.  It was even sexier. I also liked the new into theme music. Then the second half of the season went to hell.
    • Something that I love about Dani is that despite her issues with Bill, she's always encouraged her daughters to have a relationship with him. I also believe that she does have a great amount of love for him which is why she is so hurt that he's sick. I've loved them including her in his recovery. It feels real and their chemistry is just insane so any chance for more of it is welcomed. That would be the perfect karma. Kat needs to learn boundaries and not be so impulsive, but I still feel like the Duprees are going to clear Leslie. How? I don't know, but that's what I think is going to happen. I feel like she'll get some kind of blackmail over them which will cause them to clear the slate. Of course the show never goes where you expect so I'm sure they'll do something different but I'm definitely curious how she will manage this.
    • Darn you Jane Elliot...you have me crying...that's how superb her acting is in these scenes with Gio. Speak on it.
    • The story has been glossed over and taken over by the lunacy redux. I wonder if they noticed how poorly the ratings are with the Liam story and went all lunacy.
    • @soapfan770Thank you so much for posting that! I know the final season of Falcon Crest is controversial but I thought it was a fantastic swing that mostly worked. The only thing that would've made it better is if they had more money which hopefully could've kept Emma full season. I feel like that was her strongest arc since season one and I wish she had remained so we could've seen her as a mother. I also wish they had more Angela but that was obviously out of their control. As different as it was, I felt season 9 to be very true to the initial gothic roots of the series.
