I don't know about anyone else, but following all these comings and goings in the writing depts. has left me feeling exhausted, lol.

Let's pray '09 is relatively more stable.

I love how people talk about wanting "new blood", then accuse new writers of being "fake names" made up when they don't recognize them. LOL!

(No offense to anyone here - I see it happen on a lot of boards. Just making an observation, not a criticism.)

And yeah - Sharon and Scott are definitely both real people.

And Khan - why should 2008 be any different from 2007? Or 2006? Or 2005?

It's a constant round-and-round when ratings don't go up. Everyone needs a scapegoat, so they keep the revolving door going until that mythical "perfect staff" is found that brings back the fans (although most of us know that's never going to happen - TPTB still haven't given up that hope)

Good point, lol. Truth is, there's always chaos whenever it comes to the hiring and firing of writers in daytime. Still, it just seems to me that there's been more of it this year than usual. (Not going on any actual data, mind you, just offering an opinion.)

DAYS:

- Linda Poindexter-Brown last listed as Script Writer on December 9

- Jeanne Marie Ford first listed as Script Writer on December 11

I'll have data on the numbers of comings/goings from the past couple of years. :)

B&B - December 10th episode

Steffy (crying): Can you hear me? Can you feel me? Can you feel me up there? Can you feel me? (She gets up on the ledge) Can you feel me up there? Can you feel me? Phoebe, are you up there? I can feel you. You were always the star. And now you’re up there in the sky, and you really are a star. No matter how far apart we are, we will always be a part of each other. You’re still with me. I can still feel you. A beautiful star.

It's a three year contract, not a three year cycle, Alvin.

The LONGEST cycle for script writers is 26 weeks (I think only one or two head writers get 52 week cycles anymore, and I'm not even sure they get those at this point.)

No way does anybody have a three-year cycle. If I'm wrong, I'll happily eat my words, but I can't imagine any network would allow someone to be guaranteed payment for 156 weeks.

I don't even know what to say. This is just embarrassing.

date: Monday, June 9 | Teresa Zimmerman, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford YAY! Caroline is back in action at the law offices. I adore Caroline! She is a woman of business, and she handles her business quite well. Could this be the chance for Tomas to move ahead at Bill Hamilton Esq.? Madison is doing the usual tests for strokes: smiling, holding out the hands, etc., but I do wonder if she'll have him touch the tip of her finger and then the tip of his nose. That one is not easy at all. Trust me, I know! It's about time Derek becomes useful: helping to take down Dana by witnessing her interrogation of Ashley at Orphey Gene's. Oh, Nicole is showing up to question Eva, re: her interactions with Laura. This will either be a bitchfest or it'll be a heartfelt one. Cantankerous? Yes, Ashley! Call it like you see it! Is Tomas working with Katherine to set up Dana? I pray he is!! Child bride needs to calm her ass down; now she's hugging Naomi as if they're besties again? This isn't your "get out of jail" card, sweetheart. The weight that I am sure is now lifted from Eva's shoulders with Nicole accepting her apology? I love that for her. And I am sure, deep down, it helps Nicole to accept and hear it, as well. Dani showing up for Bill and their children? That's love right there, and you can tell how much it not only means for Bill but might also be reminding him of why he fell in love with her. Watch out, child bride; your time might be up by mid-summer! Katherine, you are sneaky... but I do have this sneaking suspicion this is going to blow up right back into your face before you know it. The awkward face-to-face with Chelsea and Madison. Dani introducing herself as "the first wife" is hilarious. I love it. Chelsea and Madison openly flirting in the hospital by the elevator is super cute!! Notes: Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) continues to serve up the right amount of camp for American daytime. She's almost too good for daytime. I appreciate the new viewpoint of the outside of Dana's apartment. Nice that we can get these viewpoints that other soaps wouldn't dare to explore. Tide is seen in the scene; Tide commercials air right after. Today's jacket on Alex Alegria (Tomas) fits better than the past few he's worn. Hoping this trend continues.

Leslie to Kat: "The only branch that I want is the one that goes across your behind for your insolence" LOL...if Leslie was her stepmother, she'd have whooped her disobedient azz
    • I continue to love any Kat and Leslie scenes together haha.
    • I really love Chelsea's eyerolls.  At Dani last week, and at Hayley today.
