I oversold it a bit. Jared Donaldson is a now-retired American ATP player who was mildly hyped as a next great white hope. His outburst was MUCH more aggressive, and he should have been defaulted. But it was similarly amusing:

Didn’t exactly expect Djokovic and Alcaraz to finish 0-2 in Monte Carlo, but their results go to show how completely absurd it was to be hyping up a potential *quarterfinal* of a Masters event so much before either player had even struck a ball. Draws fall apart. Constantly.
