Members DramatistDreamer
Tennis has had a bunch of scandals flying under the radar. Guillermo Coria's little brother Federico, just got nabbed in a TIU case, with Coria defending his little brother, who he claims feared for his life and that of his family. This is the second time an Argentinian player has run afoul of the TIU--- this week! In more light-hearted news, I thought @Faulknermight like this photo of Novak and Serena's baby girl.

Members Faulkner
Always sad to see injuries derail a promising career. Marton Fucsovics is serving for his first ATP title. Good-looking guy, but that pornstache! 😂 Saw that Gilles Simon is choking away a possible victory over Thiem. Not sure why Dominic needed to play a tune-up... Members Soapsuds
I hadn't noticed Fucsovics until this year. He has been playing for a while but didn't notice his game until this year's Aussie Open. He is very good looking. I love his mustache...LOL...his game reminds me of Marat Safin and he looks like him combined with some Bercych looks....LOL. I am glad he won. He also beat Stan in the same tourney. He is now ranked #45. And Thiem wins. Members DramatistDreamer
Welp. This year's French is not starting out well for me, but the French has become my least watched tournament to begin with.
Members Faulkner
Yeah, Venus wasn’t coming in with any momentum at her weakest major, so I wasn’t that surprised she had trouble. Konta has never won a match here, so that wasn’t a shocker either. Goffin is down two-sets-to-love to Haase, so that’s an upset alert. So sad to see Nishioka cramping up at the end of the marathon match with Verdasco. Fernando was nice to hop the net to console Yoshi, who was obviously devastated. I know TC and NBC probably aren’t coordinating which matches they are covering, but it’s annoying that they are simultaneously airing the Fritz-Andreozzi match when so many other matches are being played. Members Soapsuds
2000? Please register in order to view this content I'm glad she lost. I don't care for her attitude. She barely shook the winners hand at the end of the match. She is a sore loser. She has an awful serve and Halep should've beaten her last year.

Members Faulkner
I watched the Haase match, and he was very upset that the match wasn’t suspended due to darkness during the fourth set, which he was losing. (He was up two sets to one, but Goffin had all the momentum.) Haase was even more incensed when they decided to move forward with a fifth set and, during the changeover, he called for the trainer, who made the call that Haase wasn’t actually injured. I think most observers figured he was just acting and stalling for time to show his displeasure (and perhaps delay the match so it would legitimately be suspended). Goffin proceeded to bagel Haase in that fifth set. I used to dislike Ostapenko (especially after how obnoxious she was after Kasatkina beat her in Charleston), but I was pleasantly surprised how gracious she was in losing to Sloane in the Miami final. She just hits hard with no margin, which is dangerous when she’s on and disastrous when she’s not. Kozlova obviously has her number as she’s beaten Ostapenko every time they’ve played.
