WTH was that?

That JR, Jaime and Babe scene made no sense at all. Could they not remember any happy memories with one another? I'm going to give a big WTF to Amanda Beall for this episode. It was basically just a montage of all the horrid things Babe and JR did to one another with Jaime being caught in the middle. That was awful.

We got two flashbacks of JR nearly killing Jaime and Babe lying about paternity and these were the good times they were talking about? WTF

It was really bad.

JR: Guys do you remember the time that I nearly killed Jaime when I hit him with that metal pipe!

Babe: oh oh oh, I got one remember when I lied to you guys about the paternity of my baby?

JR: No no no, mines better Remember when I pinned Jaime down with a motor cycle and he almost blacked out?

Babe: Yeah yeah yeah and then I almost bashed you head in with a wrench!

Jaime: OMG OMG OMG guys stop it's too much. Too funny ha ha ha

Jaime and Babe did have some chemistry there in their last scenes together.

Me too. I thought that the last three scenes with (just) them were good. However the scenes with JR, Babe and Jaime were written horribly. They were nostalgic about some of the worst moments of their relationship.

Yes. It was very creepy to say the least.

Well I thought REBECCA TAYLOR did a great job writing the scripts today. The Babe/Jamie scenes were dynamite - very touching and emotional - and you can tell they were written to real-life for Alexa and Justin. The JR part was ok too - I liked the point they were making they could all finally sit together and just enjoy each other's company without fighting. Flashbacks are always nice too...

The Zendall stuff was good too - I liked how Zach talked to Ethan's grave and asked him to look over Ian. And I loved Kendall's talk with Ian. Most of all, I reeeeeeeeallllly enjoyed the Joe/Kendall scene. The advice Joe gave Kendall was great - and very classic AMC.

I even thought Ava's speech to Spike was great - especially the part about Lily.

And of course I'm loving the Annie story - that last scene was freaky - but my eyes kept looking at Ryan's pointy nipple. It looked like Annie was about to either suck it or bite it off - it was soooo close! lol

Amanda L. did the breakdowns, but I didn't see 1 hint of her writing style in today's show, which could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. I thought today was another great episode.

ugh! I hate Zach and "Ethan" scenes. He never gave a damn about him when he was alive and I hate how AMC makes it like he was some loving father

Love the Jamie/Babe scenes. Man did I love that couple. Alexia's acting was very real and geunine. Her eyes were very red. I think Alexia was crying over Justin leaving AMC more than Babe over Jamie. She did really good here, more so than usual

JR needs a haircut. It looks like sh*t

^^Well usually I don't like the Ethan grave scenes, moreso bc I hated Ethan....but today was ok for me, as Zach prefaced the entire scene with "I know I've visited you more since you've been dead than when you were alive....and I know I don't deserve anything from you....I know I sucked being a father to you..." etc etc....so that makes it a little more tolerable when Zach actually acknowledges the fact he didn't care about Ethan when the guy was alive.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
