Wow, I don't know how to react to this LOL. I think Fath could do differently in the role. When she first joined DAYS as the bubbly little girl she was awesome to watch when her character went wayward, so did her acting. But why OLTL finds the need to create a new role in general is ridiculous. This show is suffering big time. My 2 favorite soaps can never be good at the same time and it is very depressing.

You mean whiny II. We have whiny I in the new Marty (and arguably Natalie as well)

After watching the John McBain - Michael Easton OLTL story, I can see that OLTL isn't learning anything, and my suspicion is that maybe not at that level, history will repeat itself here. Micheal Easton reportedly turned down the part of Todd, but then the show wanted him so badly it created a new character around him, and much of what it is now wrong with the show (Dena's writing aside), has been the attempt to prop and force his dull character into the center/lead/hero of the show. 'Legacy' Duke Buchanan was somewhat written around the show's stunt casting of Matthew Metzger, and no amount of PR/forcing made that character work (so Dena killed him off). My fear is that this will turn into a similar situation to ME.

OLTL fans want to watch OLTL. If they wanted to watch DOOL, they'd have watched NBC then It is easy enough: for a long time they were even on at the same time: I'd been known to watch both partially. However, I've been getting the idea from Higley that she is recreating DOOL on OLTL's canvas. Starr = Belle, Blair = Hope, etc. All it has served is to turn me off both soaps.

I will wait and see how Farah does before I say or do anything. My question is like many others, why did OLTL feel the need to creat a new role instead of casting her in a role such as Sarah Roberts. Heck I would've accepted Fath as an older Samantha Garretson, the daughter of Rafe Garretson who is a nephew or cousin of the Buchanan's and was cheif of police at one point.
