I loved her. It's a crock that she was replaced.

I liked Shayna too, but DAYS totally went in a new, more TRAMPY direction with the character. She shouldn't be campaigning for her job.

I wasn't fond of Shayna Rose at first--like others have said, it was mostly the way she was written. However, by the end of her run, I liked her a lot. She had some great scenes with Chelsea and Abby, and also had a nice chemistry with Steve/Kayla (once she quit whining constantly about them getting back together). I found her look refreshing and loved her enthusiasm and think she would have kept improving in the role. NuStephanie has come back with a completely different look, attitude and personality and is not winning me over so far. The changes are far too drastic to blame on 3-4 months in "Dayton". This is nothing against SH, who has had some nice dramatic scenes with Steve and did a good job. It just bothers me how much they have changed the character herself. And I'm really tired of the way they write these young girls on DAYS. With the exception of Abby, they are always a little trampy, a little (or a lot) manipulative and devious, show no respect for their parents (or anyone else), and underage drinking seems to be a huge problem in Salem. How are these underage girls even getting into these clubs? Are Abby, Chelsea or Stephanie over 21 yet? And yet they are out partying until 7:00 a.m.!

I don't care for Stephanie1 or Stephanie2. She's a babyish 'Brittney Spears' race car driver. IMO the contrast is simply not appealing.

Either the character should be more mature and edgy or a childish teen. An edgy teen would be ok but neither actress or character brought that to the table.

I I do wish Shayna well. I hope she continues to find work and that she will someday find a part that suits her.

I hated her Stephanie and I hate this Stephanie. Just can't stand the character, so IMO there shouldn't have been a recast either. The character should've been gone.

Why is she telling everyone to post? It's like she wants DAYS to fire the new actress and hire her back. Is she that desperate? Easy there, Shayna.

The character of Stephanie hasn't interest me so far, but I will definitely take the hotter actress over the non hot actress.

I think NuStef is a decent actress and I think she'll better once Hogan/Meg flesh out the character, just like how they did for Rachel/Chelsea.

I couldn't agree more. The girl can act and that is all that matters. She has already sonw more range and a better connection with her castmates then Shayna ever did IMO. I like Shayna too but it's funny how the majority of time she was around people wanted her gone or recasted other then a few instances at the end when they had the character interact with the young set.

I know the character has had a drastic change but the girl can act and is better then Shayna IMO. That tells me this worked out for the best but I guess it's an individual preference thing.

I've only seen NuStephanie once and she was horrible. The way she says "papa" makes me want to cringe. And she so does not look like the daughter of Kayla and Steve. JMO

Hopefully Shayna continues to get Primetime guest spots and moves on to bigger things.

nuSteph did the psych ward scenes with Steve perfectly. Very connected to SN, very passionate, every alive in the scene. I know had it been Shayna all we would have gotten was a whole bunch of whinning!

Count me in the nuStephanie camp. Shayna is an ok actress but she lacked in screen presence and charisma. Had she remained in the role, Stephanie would have been destined to remain the goofy sidekick.

Why is it that everyone was glad when Shayna left now its like she was the best actress ever. Honestly, I don't care either way. I don't understand why they made Stephanie a ho but whatever.

I was thinking the same thing a while ago in another Shayna / Stephanie thread.

I feel really bad for Shayna. But on the other hand I like the recast. But gosh, it's so sad to know she was hurt by this. I just can't stand when people get hurt, that's just how I am. At the same time, Stephanie the charcater doesn't really interest me as she is right now.

I totally saw this coming. Poor girl! I didn't buy, for a damn MOMENT, that she was too busy with her music "career" (yeah right) or other acting jobs or pilot season to do "Days." That makes NO sense. First, you make a damn name for yourself on a soap and THEN, if you want, you can leave. I smelled a rat. I knew those lookist bastards at "Days" hated her look. The PROOF, you guys, is all in the damn dialogue. HOW MUCH MORE of this can we take? The pimping in the dialogue of how hot Stephanie is and how wonderful she is and how much her fashion sense has changed and how HIP she is -- and how they ALL BOW AT THE TEMPLE OF "DAYTON" for these changes, when we all know that "Dayton" just means "the casting change?"

Ehm , it wasn't her decision to leave in the first place. She actually though she was gonna come back a few times later on. That's what she was told.
