Lauren can go to hell too. I expected more of her than to sit there and go along with the spying and eavesdropping. She was egging them on to bring Jack down.

I like that they mentioned some of Amber's history from B&B. Still cant stand her but like that they arent completely ignoring her past

Yeajh, I was disappointed as well. Her "protest" lasted probably 5 seconds. Usually I'm all for the Fisher camp campiness but this is too much.

How would you feel being spied on - in office nonetheless? Not to mention a huge WTF to the writing department: microphones in the boardroom equipped to a security camera? How stupid doe the writers thinkwe are???

That said: I FLOOOOOOVED Jill-JiMin. Fantasy, reality - everything was so hot. Jess Walton is at it again - which is her best. Work it girl!

I thought todays show was a disaster. Dru's funeral felt rushed and that weak montage at the end was not enough. You mean after 17 years you couldn't show more clips highlighting her time in Genoa City? Why not cut Nikki/Victor's problems out and show a scene with the characters giving eulogies? I would've love to have seen Jill tried to reign Homeless!Dru in, Mamie/Dru, Olivia/Dru, Not!Lily/Dru, Devon/Dru. It wouldn't be such a big deal if they didn't regularly show flashbacks of scenes that happen in the same episode.

We saw Colleen and Korbel's first love scene at least 20 times, Dru? Three short clips. And the way the service was set up it did feel like they were heading for flashbacks which never came. All in all, it was totally half-assed, but watchable. I enjoyed seeing Olivia and I'm going to seriously miss her now.

Can't wait for more JillMin action next week.

Today's show was nothing like I thought it would be. I mean, they did an okay job with the episode, but I felt more could've been done.

I enjoy having Olivia back. It's nice to see Tonya Lee Williams again. I'm glad they had Brad and Olivia interacting. I liked that.

I only watched the last segment of today's episode, so I can't comment on the show as a whole or the service-- but the last segment had me in tears! Did they show any other Drucilla flashbacks, or were the ones at the end all we got?

Phyllis saying goodbye was fantastic. I swear to God, Michelle Stafford could move me to tears over a torn Kleenex. You can tell that she feels it when she's in the moment, and it conveys so well on screen. The dialogue in that scene was awesome. I had a serious lump in my throat. Then...

Flash over to Neil. The flashbacks, him taking a drink (did anyone catch the way he put the glass up to his face, took it in and then LICKED it before drinking? HOOOOT!), and then the flashbacks.

God, I'm gonna miss Victoria Rowell! She's one of a kind.

STill have to comment on Thursday's show...

Since I'm one of LML most vocal critics I mus pass credit where it's due: this particular episode was outstanding.

The Neil/Olivia scenes (Tonya Lee Williams be so kind stay, pleeeeeeeeeease!!!), the Kay/Jill quarrels, Michael's questioning of all party's involved, the Victor/Jack nuisance and most of all a good cliffhanger with Neil taking a sip from alcohol, gripping dialogue and a moment of surprise when the spycam turned black for a few short seconds...

All this was very good and not even Amber and her porn talk with Daniel could ruin the day. However, I can't believe that anyone from the current writing regime of mediocrisy were involved in this episode - they must have given someone fired a job for a day or Janice Ferri Esser absolute power for this occasion: Y&R hasn't felt as much as Y&R in at least 6 months...

Dare I hope that today's show can keep this momentum. Somehow I doubt it. :(

Kenny, the only flashbacks they showed were the Neil/Dru ones at the end. I LOVED the flashback of their fisrt wedding and OMG, Brad was Neil's BEST MAN! I never knew those two EVER liked each other.

I too liked Phyllis saying goodbye. It was so true to form to Dru and Phyllis' relationship. If roles had been reversed, I could have seen Dru saying something just like that.

Adrienne Frantz will take a short break, but has signed on for six more months. Unfortunately her album will probably be a big flop so she'll sign longer once it's released and no one is interested.

Your probably right.......:(

I'm so sick of Scamber, and the break your talking about is one of the most welcome breaks any character has taken in quite awhile. It would be nice if Scamber would take the kind of break Will-Ho is taking on Days.....

That's what works my nerves about LML & Co. style of writing, everything is so rushed and the stories lack the attention to detail that Y&R used to do so well. I didn't get to see the end of today's show and am stuck somewhere that doesn't have SoapNet. Hopefully someone will post the final scenes from today's show on YouTube sometime in the future........

Today was ok. I can't get over the way Victor continue's to dis Nikki. When she made that comment about Zapato being trained to fetching Victor's slippers in her place and he said "Don't flatter yourself, you've never fectched my slippers" :o

There should have been more Dru flashbacks and I found it hard to believe Olivia would ever leave without being sure that Neil would be OK. No way would she ever believe someone in his place, going through what he is going through, could take a few drinks and climb back on the wagon. Just not gonna happen and Olivia is smarter than to believe it will.

I liked Phyllis' goodbye to Dru as well.

Todays episode was really good! I could've down without the Phyliss scene though! I didnt like her speech at all! It was not needed and rude IMHO. But, look who it came from! I should've expected that from that bitc*.

The Nikki/Victor scene in the breakroom was really good! Overall, great episode...minus the Phyliss BS. <_<

One thing that shocked me though.........Brad was Neil's best man!! WTF?

Today's episode was ok, a little more attention could've been put into Dru's service, but it was an overall ok show. I must say though, this is the best week Y&R's had in at least 6 months. It was definitely the best soap this week.

I too liked Phyllis' goodbye to Dru, it just goes to show Phyllis and Dru were Y&R's last super-couple!

Oh and BRING OLIVIA BACK!!!!!

I'm sure there's money in Y&R's budget for Tonya Lee Williams, since both Eileen Davidson and now Victoria Rowell are gone. What's holding them back!?!?!?

Dru fans are going to hate me, but Olivia was always my favorite Barber sister, until Jack Smith felt the need to ruin her and then give her no screen time towards the end of her run. I have to admire Tonya Lee Williams though, she's always been very loyal to Y&R.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
