Just finished watching my baby go over the cliff! Sniff, sniff

And what up with Phyllis? She went from Pod-Phyllis to Ultra-Beyotch Phyllis since I've last watched the show. Like Kelis might of said... I hate her so much right now! AAAAGGGHHHH!!!

LOL I understand all this Phyllis hate, but I still love her. Just because I love !@#$%^&*]es on soaps.

I was so sad when Dru went over the edge, but that scene was really well done. I can't believe I won't see another Drucilla-style confrontation or catfight :( :(

I forgot to add, what was up with the computer-generated river below the cliff. That whole sequence looked ridiculous and it was distracting. It reminds me of how DAYS would have those fake looking backgrounds that looked like something straight out of a video game whenever someone was driving in a car. LOL!

Today's episode spelled the end of a lot of things:

It spelled the end of a love story between Neil and Drucilla :(

It spelled the end of any possible hope for Sharon and Jack (it's obvious that BRAD will be the one that wins Sharon's heart).

It spells the end of Phyllis possibly holding anything over Sharon's head (her guilt alone will eat away at her for a while.

Plus it spelled the end of all the quirky one liners that Victoria Rowell brought out of Dru since her debut on the show.

CK's screaming worked really really well!! The biggest part that had me laughing was Dru's falling and the cheap river graphic below, Lynn Marie must have borrowed that crap from Corday! LOL!!

OK, I LOVE Dru, and I'm heartbroken that she's gone, but I was LMAO at watching her plummet off the cliff. The cheapness of that fake river and her falling and flapping her arms in that black suit was just too campy and comical to me. And the whole situation with the phone just seemed rushed, contrived, and unbelievable.

I was actually looking forward to this - Y&R usually does "death" well.

Since I refuse to give LML any ratings I haven't been watching regularly but I had to see Dru's send off.

Die Phyllis Die.

Lily's scream...seriously, even now, there is laughing in my head.

The River? The fake River...The fake Cliff. The fake Fall over the fake cliff and the fake falling of Sharon off the cliff. This was some tacky, campy, melodramatic ish. Just unbelievable. I can't believe they sent Dru out on this Passions-esque nonsense. Even the damn hat still stayed on Dru's head. The laughing in my head won't stop. The fall was so ridiculously placed that there is no reason for any of them to have fallen

LML should never be allowed to work on a soap again. I am reminded now why I have stopped watching Y&R, but I had to see Victoria make her last stand. And with Dru gone, I really have no reason to tune in beside Peter Bergman and Sharon Case, I still care about them and their characters.

John's gone, Ashley's gone, and now Dru in less than 6 months. This woman is murdering what used to be the best show on television.

I think we had something like this in the Netherlands a few years ago.

Maybe you can take a look at it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB7usRx-ilE

I know you can hear what they say, but the 3 woman are 2 sisters and the daughter.

They just get a call that one of there best friends died in a car crash. And then the cliff thing happens.

First her biologial mother falls down, and then her sisters (thats a mother to her, her whole life, because she later found out who her real mother is)

They taped it in Portugal

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
