Members poohbear19
OMG Blair got shot... WTFever, had to roll my eyes big time on that. The might as well call the room: Blair Cramer Holden Buchanan Manning's Haven and have her pay some rent. Same ol', same ol' mess with Todd and Blair yesterday, not impressed or interested in their constant merry (or in their case, horror)-go-round. Blair's threat about Evangeline being around Starr and Jack, After everything Todd and Blair has exposed their children too, she has a nerve to be upset with the possible influence that she will have on them? Please... why is it always okay for her to bring her boy toys/lovers around them (Spencer was the last one, even Jack got attached to the psycho and perferred him to his father Todd,) but not okay for Todd. I wish Blair would think before she speaks, because the BS coming out of her mouth makes me want to kill her. I have found new respect for Forbes/Nash, and a little less for Jessica. Nash was excellent yesterday with his plead to Jessica; and Jessica is just coming off as being a mega selfish b*tch to me... though I know she's not suppose to. As of now, I'm not sure I can root for Nash/Jessica (outside of the fact, that I will because I detest Jessica/Antonio), if Jessica can't at least see Nash side; because it seems like she heard... but won't listen to it. I would think, for his sake she would. He made excellent points about how it would cause him to not be a father to Brennen (and I LOVE how he comment on the name change, I don't like it when they call her Bree.) I don't know what to say about Cristian and Evangeline, at one point Cristian is right about Evangeline and Todd, but at another... he's not admitting that what he assumed was a mistake on his part. I'm getting the feeling too, that Evangeline will be left out in the cold again and it will be about Todd/Blair/Cristian; as it seem like Cristian doesn't love Evangeline and keeps throwing it in her face. I don't like that, and it's probably better that they aren't together. I'm not liking the possiblity, if it does happen... why can't Evangeline ever get a HEA? It always ends up being about another woman. As for the robbery at the Palace, wow... not that interesting at all. Don't care for any of the characters to begin with, so I found this part of the show to be less entertaining.
Members chrishntr
I can't believe that Clint is making Viki repeat what she was trying to tell him at the Palace and he's STILL going to choose Dorian. JERK!!
Members 2shane8
WTF is up with Clint? What a jerk! I cannot even believe he would treat Viki like that, but I suppose what really gets me is how sweet he is being to that snake Dorian. Evangeline needs to stop acting holier-than-thou and running around town like she is a puppet master. If Cristian wants to tell Todd that he and Blair slept together, then let the truth out of the damn bag and get it over with. Why is Van so hell bent on protecting Todd? Oh that's right: she's in love with him, but is too sanctimonious to admit it. I wish someone would wipe the self-righteous look off her face, and if Blair won't do it, my money is on Layla. LOL at the way Blair popped out of the room and spilled the beans herself! Natalie is looking so pretty lately. I am liking the John-Marty vibe, though, I have to say! Nice to see Marcie questioning Michael and noticing that he is always suspicious when Tommy's biological parents are brought up. RS and KDP may be my fav. couple on this show. I love when Blair told her to lay off, and Dorian was like "Ok, I'll rein it in." LOL. poor, poor Viki
Members chrishntr
OMFG he left without saying anything to her. JERK!! WTF is wrong with the men on this show?
Members Jess
What a Jerk. I'm hoping they let Viki have a really great storyline now. I don't want her to have Dorian's seconds.
Members BetweenHeaven&Hell
I agree with all the negative comments directed toward Clint. He's been a jerk in this triangle! Today's episode was good -- Blair ruled the episode. She's had some classic moments this week. I loved how she protested "over my dead body!" to Marty helping her. Gotta hand to it her for sticking to her guns (no pun intended, of course). And less than 20 minutes later she's up and walking and telling her ex-husband she slept with his object of affection's ex-boyfriend. Who can resist Blair Cramer? Members poohbear19
Powerful Marcie and Michael scenes, loved it (until the John/Natalie talk, they got better things to worry about.) I hope they have Marcie do some investigating on her own, with Michael acting the way he did. I would love it if that happened, and then Marcie and Todd are tracked to the same places... only to realize that there's a connection between Todd Jr and Tommy McBain. Finally, Talia got the upperhand on the arsonist... only to get punked again. That's disappointing, is John the only cop that allowed to solve a crime without all the mishaps? Evangeline should have just let Cristian tell Todd, then she wouldn't have to carry around all the "guilt" of knowing it was Blair. She should listen to Cris words too about Blair and Todd, because they have some truth to it. Wow, even shot... Blair's annoying. Suck it up and accept some damn help. And asking for Todd, yet again... why would she if she doesn't want him? She's beginning to be just as bad as Evangeline with her feelings for Todd. If Natalie is suppose to be the one for John, how come she couldn't tell that he looked a bit uncomfortable when she mentioned the ring and marriage. Members chrishntr
From what I got to see, I thought it was a very good show today. Blair had me giggling a few times, she's very witty at times. I was so wishing that Viki for once would have slapped the crap out of Dorian. And as much as I like Clint, he annoyed the hell out of me today. I hated the way he treated Viki was just beyond mean. I so want my Viki/Clint but man I am hanging on a thin line where Clint is concerned. You cannot tell me that Todd doesn't love Blair, it was in your face today. And I have to say that it was very nice to have a break from Jess/Nash today.
Members anita30
Ok I dont Clint with Vicki, she looked so hurt and I am not use to that. I say Vickie move on someone better is right around the corner. I have a new campaign Vickie and New guy bring it already. I am ready for Vicki to smile, joke and laugh with company that wants to be with her. I will say this about Todd I will say he will always love and have a special place in his heart for Blair but I dont think he is in love with Blair anymore. Someone pointed out on another board that a part of Todd always thinks he is going to reunite with Blair but I think this revelation coming out put the nail in the coffin for now. I personally think he is inlove with two woman with two different reasons (if you get what I mean)
Members SlezaksOLTL
Clint is a complete a$$hole, I could not believe how insensitive the man has been the last few days, not even going to waste writing on what a jerk he is. Viki is so heartbroken already, no one does this pain of emotion like Erika. Monday Viki is going to really get it in the gut and I know Erika is going to bring it. Members Cat
IA. Blair is like Todd in a lot of ways -- unpredictable, impulsive, they both say what they think without sugar-coating stuff. They also act out and do things they then cannot take back. Evangeline is a little like Tea or even Rebecca; she's the "good girl" he enjoys teasing and bring out her playful side. Evangeline has always had a real thing for so-called Bad Boys -- RJ, McEmotionallyRetentive, Cristian, Todd. Even she and Spencer had sparkage. As for Todd, I wonder whether deep down he thinks Van might somehow redeem him, make him a better person. Both actresses have massive chemistry with TSJ, it's what makes this triangle compelling for me -- so much more compelling than, say, Todd/Blair/Spencer. Another great week for OLTL. Thursday's episode was so well-paced, it might as well have been a Friday cliffhanger! Nash & Jessica were the highlight for me. Even though the whole thing makes Jess look really bad, I can't hate her... And God, McNostril bores me with his non-acting blankness. Who is this character? What makes him tick? Damned if I know. I wish OLTL would take the leap and try out 3 consecutive episodes WITHOUT The Brooding One.
Members Jess
McNostrils?? LOL. I don't even watch him at all anymore. I agree that Jessica is being made to look really really bad. She is the core character and it is unfortunate that she has to be made to look bad to prop Antonio. That is exactly what is going on too. I loved the Nash and Jess scene on Thursday. You know Cat, I'm just not a big fan of this Todd anymore. I think every actor should be allowed to shape the role a little bit like they want, but this guy is changing what to me Todd is. I expect any day now to see him wearing tights and quoting Shakespeare. It doesn't bother that Todd and Blair are both moving on. As much as I am disappoiinted that Todd and Blair fans never got a payoff after the years of torture by the Higs, it may be time for a change. I am tired of Higley triangles though. It is all she writes.
Members Ridge
A little late to this threat, but must say this has been another AWESOME week for OLTL!! I'm impressed that they went from the heavyness of the ski lodge on Monday to Tuesday which at first I thought was going to be a slow episode and turned out to sooo not be with Roxy's robbing. Love it. And WOW to the Todd and Starr scenes at the lodge. That was as realistic as it could get without him actually hitting her! Those scenes were chilling. Members Cat
I can see where you are coming from, Jess. I've been all swept up in (what I perceive to be) some strong chemistry between TSJ and REG. I haven't wanted to see the fact that they are changing Todd into a whole other character in order to basically fit this pairing/triangle/quadrangle. I cannot really ignore it anymore because, while I have enjoyed TSJ's portrayal, I also like Roger Howarth's, and he set the template for Todd. TSJ may want to make the character his own, but there are certain character traits that RH -- and the OLTL writers back in the 90s -- set down which cannot be altered. One is the fact that Todd was a stalker and a rapist, and he was always struggling with a VERY dark side tied to that history. The other was his issues with intimacy, and that intimacy was only really limited to his close family circle. Even with Blair, there had been underlying issues regarding their physical relationship (if I remember correctly). When today's Todd touches, strokes, kisses and holds Evangeline, it is swoony and romantic for this viewer but it also represents a disconnect. Because I guess I was never used to Todd being a horn-dog. Admittedly I didn't watch OLTL between 1996 and 2004 so I probably missed when Todd became more like that? I don't know. And ITA about Higley's Triangle Writing. Although, hopefully, Ron Calivarti and Jack Smith are doing most of the writing now. Re: Jess, I still like her, even if she is cheating on her husband. That's the point about infidelity, I suppose -- it's really about cheating to a certain extent. Even if Antonio is being made out to be The Sainted One, I do like how some of the writing has acknowledged Nash and Jessica's own conflicted feelings on the matter this week. Unlike the Let's-Rut-Like-Bunnies-in-a-Burning-Building-While-The-Noxious-Fumes-Swirl-Around-Us epiosde from two week's ago.
Members Juliajms
I agree that the Todd/Vang relationship is messing with character integrity. For me it's more about Vang. I can see Blair hooking up with a guy like Todd, but it's so hard for me to see Vang doing that. One of the problems with having Todd be a romantic lead is that every time the woman involved is hooking up with a rapist. I'm sorry, but I know I would never do that and it's hard for me to believe half the ladies in Llanview would, especially someone like Evangeline. I have to admit they have great chemistry and I do kind of like them together, but character integrity should mean something. There are some lines that shouldn't be crossed and Vang falling for a rapist is one of them, imo. Clint is on my last nerve. Everyone is talking about how he's treating Vikki, but he really isn't being all that better to Dorian. He seems a little bit too smug that there are two woman who want him. I loved Jess and Nash's scenes at the vinyard.
