Members JER Soaps Fan
Well, that's insane. That's just crazy! I'd love it -- only if NBC put it once a week on THEIR network, lol. It's just such an NBC show. Either that or CW (if I had to choose). But it should be in network form, where it can get the most exposure. That being said, I would hope that soaps -- all soaps -- would have the option of going once a week before they're canned altogether. I actually think ratings would rise if viewers knew they only had one shot a week to catch their favorite soap.
Members RionPassions
I would like to see Passions as a weekly series as long as the content justified it. 52 episodes of Passions a year is better than 0.

Members R!ck
I could honestly see NBC making PSNS a weekly primetime soap. They could push the envelope even more than they already are. Monday Nights @ 10:00 after Heroes would be ideal. Perfect lead in for Primetime Passions. Of course the 10pm on Monday nights are a death slot for NBC, but I think PPSNS would be very compatible with Heroes. or Wednesday Night would be good too. They could move Crossing Jordan to 8:00, Primetime Passions at 9:00 and Medium at 10:
Members JER Soaps Fan
I could definitely see it once a week too. Wouldn't that be hilarious and sweet revenge for the JER-haters out there? For "Passions" to get canceled -- only to be added to NBC's PRIMETIME lineup? And then become a huge hit? God, that'd be justice. SWEETjustice. Members RionPassions
ITA!! I'd even take Passions on Friday or Saturday night, just so long as it lives on!!!
Members KMan101
Hmm. Wow. That sure is interesting. I never thought of the idea that Passions could air just once a week on the primetime lineup... Hmm. Anything is possible, I suppose.

Members AMCHistory
That would be so awesome for the genre if a daytime serial can convert to primetime seemlesly. Of course, the cast will have to be cut down (and there is a lot of excess fat to trim off of this cast). I guess it would be very similar to if it went online, it would have to be focused on a much smaller group. I could see the Cranes and Lopez-Fitzgeralds surviving through the transitions. I don't know about the Bennetts or the Russells.
Members PhoenixRising05
That is very interesting. Passions in primetime could work but I think it needs to return to its dark, supernatural roots. That will help it build back some of what it lost. It also needs to trim the cast big time (can the horrible Miguel/Kay/Fox crap). The show needs to be built on the good actors the show has. Emily Harper and Lindsey Hartley should be hyped big time and most stories should revolve around them, much like they do now. The only problem is many actors may want to take this opportunity to move on so if Passions loses too many familiar faces, this may not work. If Passions does this, they better find a way to hang on to people like MW, GG, and especially Lindsey Hartley (who carries the show) or it will fall flat. Members nassaunew
I love Passions, but I can't see it airing on NBC's primetime lineup. The CW, MyNetwork, Soapnet at 7PM or so, yes. I don't think the ratings would be high enough to survive on a major network because many viewers would not want to start watching a show that's already been on the air for 8 years. Members JER Soaps Fan
See I disagree with the last line simply because the show would be fresh. Presumably (and most likely) the "soap" will end in September. Meaning everything that's going to be wrapped up, story-wise, will be. Characters will (should?!) have closure, as well as resolutions to all (most? some) dangling threads. So that means the primetime version would start off new. Getting to know the characters again, with new adventures and struggles.
