February 3, 200719 yr Member Somebody on another site said April 1 is on a Sunday & it might be a April fools joke. We'll see! Good point! I just checked my calendar and it is INDEED a Sunday. I swear if this is SOD's idea of a joke, then they are twisted! I won't get my hopes up though, but I hope this turns out to be false. You gave me hope. Thank you
February 3, 200719 yr Member FYI Victoria Rowell has her own official site. I started a thread about her leaving over there. Link Edited February 3, 200719 yr by DruRocks
February 3, 200719 yr Member But, I'm not surprised that VR has been snubbed by co-stars multiple times for Emmy pre-noms. As someone who once walked those hallowed halls (haha, as an intern) I can definitely tell you that VR had her days where she was very sweet and other days where she was a straight-up diva with a capital [!@#$%^&*]. One time on the set, she had a misunderstanding with Michelle Stafford (this was back when they had alot of scenes together in the Newman offices) and it escalated to the point that MS walked off the stage. The two had to have a meeting with Jack Smith, etc. to settle it. Another time, VR was putting her own spin on her dialogue and the producers wanted her to say it the way it was written. She refused, and they called up to Jack Smith in the offices and when VR talked to him on the phone, she flat-out lied about what the producers were telling her to do. I know this happened because I was there, sitting in the producers booth observing, and watched as various people had their jaws dropped that VR had the audacity to lie about them right in front of their faces. How unprofessional that the cast can't put work and personal feelings aside then? Not saying there is any truth to this though, and I'm not calling you a liar either.
February 3, 200719 yr Member *big hugs* I know how you feel, babe. Victoria Rowell is my favorite on Y&R. She's one of my top three favorite actresses in soaps today. It sucks... like, really badly. She and Phyllis are virtually the only reason that I watch Y&R. Now that Dru is out and Phyllis is a pod, all reason to watch has just flown completely out the window. Don't worry about overreacting. I've had several of my own flipouts over the past week. Thanks. I had just found out the news and had to vent. Thank goodness for SON! LOL! I don't even want to go back and read what I posted because I know I'll feel bad, but that's how I was feeling at that moment. I couldn't fake it. Anyway, you just named my two favorite people on the show. Them my girls. And you described the situation perfectly. I'm finally beginning to truly understand what the hardcore Kimberlin Brown/Sheila fans and the Eileen Davidson/DAYS fans have been feeling like.
February 3, 200719 yr Member How old is VR? I'm glad she wasn't fired and she left on her terms but it seems kinda risky career wise.
February 3, 200719 yr Member awe, Dru....this is just crap! I know that she asked to be let out, but still I sympathize with you. Thanks Matt. CRC I loved the rant!

LoL The entire past month has been nothing but hell for soap fans.
February 3, 200719 yr Member How old is VR? I'm glad she wasn't fired and she left on her terms but it seems kinda risky career wise. She's 46. So she's still young, sexy, and talented so maybe the move to the big screen (if so) isn't such a bad thing. From the collosal disappoint of "Home of the Brave" Victoria Rowell was singled out and received great reviews for her performances. I believe Rober and Ebert called her a "breakout star."

No more movies with 50 Cent in the cast for Ms. Rowell. LOL! I'm glad she's getting personal kudos for the movie, though.
February 3, 200719 yr Member Really? Awesome. Yeah, she got several notices. Hey maybe VR is going to co-host 'The View'?
February 3, 200719 yr Member And in other backstage news, Zapoto, the Y&R dog, has also asked to be released from his contract. He feels that he isn't getting enough of a story, doesn't get along well with his Y&R co-star, Eric Braeden, from what setside sources have told SON, and, he hates the doggie biscuits that are served to him every day at lunchtime. A Y&R rep was asked about Zapoto's demands, and responded "We do not make comments on actor's contracts.......whether they are man or dog."
