January 25, 200719 yr Member Congrats, Guiding Light! 70 Years! What an amazing feat and I'm glad to have been a fan, if only for a fraction of years. I wonder if there are any 70 year fans out there somewhere? WOW! Heck, how about 60, 50, 40...
January 25, 200719 yr Member CBS.com finally has the 70th Anniversary Special section up and running: http://www.cbs.com/daytime/gl/behind/specials/gl_70/ Their is a timeline with highlights from the show's history, images that come up when you click on each 5 year interval. They're doing the memorable scenes poll, just like they did with ATWT. It's week to week and looks like it'll last 11 weeks. You can download clips of the scenes by clicking on the images. The choices for this week are: Classic scene from 1952 Reva baptizes herself the "Slut of Springfield" Ross' election night dream Roger unmasked Lizzie tells Phillip she shot Carl Reva learns she has cancer Vanessa and Billy wed And it looks like a bunch of other goodies will be added down the road.
