I really hope this is sincere. I must say ABC would be foolish to cancel their soaps given as how they get extra free profit by reairing it on Soapnet at night.

Days should never be brought to ABC especially not at the expense of any of the ABC soaps. Sorry, but Days can go to Fox daytime, that may be the best fit.

I'm gonna take this at face value for now. Considering ABC owns their own soaps, IMO it doesn't make sense for them to want to cancel one. CBS/NBC yes, ABC no.

Exactly, keep ABCD as it is with AMC, OLTL and GH. Days can find some other place, because I can tell you that no matter what Days fans are out there, ABC daytime fans will riot if one of their soaps gets canceled to put DAYS on instead of AMC or OLTL, or even GH. No way ABCD fans will stick around and it will ruin the rest of ABCD and Days all in one fell swoop. Do people really want that? Also, I would advise Days fans to put the bug in the ear at FOX because they are looking to do better daytime programming. Write Murdoch even and get the bug in his ear, what he says goes if he wants Days on FOX you will get it and a better budget too.

Why haven't the ABC-Disney Television Group (ADTG) fired B. Frons yet? Could it be that they are purposely destroying their daytime lineup? NBC Daytime did the same thing with their lineup. What ADTG need to do is...

1. Cancel The View

2. Cancel AMC (The show is beyond repair; Simone is dead, J. Barr is never returning, Dixie will be killed off)

3. Air AMC repeats from 1970-2004 on SOAPnet/ABC (2005-2007 are crap)

4. Invest heavily in OLTL & GH (OLTL has the potential to be ABC's Y&R; GH has mainstream appeal & can enter it's 3rd golden age)

ADTG have succeeded in destroying 2 once appealing, watchable shows (The View & AMC). They have 2 daytime shows left filled with unbelievable potential, but will they be destroyed as well?

Let's get one thing straight: The charater of Simone was never in the same league as Brooke or Dixie.

LMAO I crack up everytime someone says AMC is beyond repair. I remember the same being said about Days, just about a year ago.

I wouldn't wish cancellation on ANY soap, cause your favorite soap could be cancelled eventually

I really don't want AMC cancelled. Yeah I haven't been thrilled with the show this year but I don't want to see it go to t.v heaven.

No soap is beyond repair, QUALITY-WISE. But I think AMC and DAYS may be beyond repair, ratings-wise, which is sad.

Who knows, they may take THE VIEW from Barbara and give Rosie her own solo talk show or "VIEW-like" talk show.

The View is getting great ratings this season.

For the week Jan 8-12, they are up +883,000 viewers compared to last year. They have a 3.3 HH rating, up from 2.5 last year. They are 4th overall in daytime behind Y&R, TPIR 1, TPIR 2 in HHs

I know. But Rosie is supposed to be leaving by summer, anddddd I would contribute much of the ratings to her.

Who said Julia Barr is never returning? Never say Never. I know she was treated like crap but so have a lot of soap actors and they have ended up returning to the soap that was awful to them. So never say never.

Julia also mentioned once or twice that she's "opening a new chapter" in her life, or something along those lines. I even remember reading something where she said that she probably wouldn't show up for special appearances either.

But that could all be because of McTavish. Her feelings could change if/once she's gone.
