I started classes last Monday and I havn't quite gotten back into school mode yet. I still havn't even bought my books! lol.

And here I was complaining that they cut our Winter break from 6 weeks to 5. :lol: Guess I shouldn't be complaining anymore. I had an 8 week Winter Break last year when I was transfering from my old JC, that was amazing.LOL

Oh well, back to my LSAT books, serisouly, anyone want to trade?

Wow! you are lucky Kylie! We only get 3 weeks. It really stinks between spring and summer classes there is no break. Then we get a 2 week break between summer and fall.

I can't wait to be done!

And here I thought a 5-6 week break was standard.LOL The first 4 are nice, the other two drag.LOL But in CA you can be at the beach in Jan. so it's kinda cool. This Spring is my last semester, but I still don't want to go back.

LOL - yeah I usually take a couple of weeks first to see if the books really are 'required'.

The first few years I always burned myself by getting books that first week and by the end of the semester I haven't even opened the book once. Talk about WASTE OF MONEY.

GH: May 2026 Discussion Thread

Burton lived in Nashville for several years. There was some sort of difficulty with the tptb at GH being unwilling to adapt to that as much as he needed? so then he was cast on Y&R. Y&R worked around his commute time. At some point GH was willing to take him back, but I don't know the circumstances. He was at GH until the vax thing, then went to DAYS. Somewhere in there he moved to California, but I don't know when; nor do I know when he returned to Nashville.

FYI: The Bold and the Beautiful has ranked #1 among soaps in Women 18-49 for the fourth time in the last five weeks, and ranks #1 season-to-date (September 22-26, 2025 through April 27-May 1, 2026), ahead of The Young and the Restless, per Nielsen Live+Same Day Big Data + Panel ratings data. This is the first time in history the show is pacing to rank #1 in Women 18-49 for a single season.
Is there any wonder a change was made at The Young and the Restless?

Recommend Me A Primetime Soap Please!

I also think KL's first three seasons, even as they get slow at times or have eps you can skip (I have a must-watch ep list of my own somewhere as I am sure many fans do), have certain eps that while not serialized or 'important' are essential to understanding the characters and relationships that continue to power the show and story well into halfway through its run and probably beyond.
KL prioritized character and that institutional memory in a way many primetime soaps don't IMO.

Griffith opted to step down and lose power? I know it’s a difficult task being both HW and EP, but now Griffith has to report to an EP if this is still a traditional power structure. Seems bizarre and I wonder what the full story is.

Recommend Me A Primetime Soap Please!

For recommendations for 90's primetime soap operas, I would suggest either Savannah ( 34 episodes, decent acting and plotlines, and ends with a satisfying conclusion instead of cliffhanger), or Melrose Place (Started as a thirtysomething aspirational drama, morphed into a Knots Landing soap in season 2, then morphs in an over the top crazy show in mid season 3, and tries to ground itself like Dynasty in its final season).
