September 25, 200718 yr Member So far, Dr. Jay, how are you satisfied with the daily quality of the scripts?
September 25, 200718 yr Member Which soap are you referring to? OLTL? If so, I am content. I am liking Liz Page. Yesterday's show was her best show so far. I think she does better with smaller sequencing shows. Yesterday's show featured 3 scene sequences and the show was great. Jumping from scene to scene isn't her thing. In terms of the others, I still have my peeves with the 1980's dialogue. Let the characters live a little. PS- Has anyone noticed that the former Y&R head writer hasn't posted recently?
September 25, 200718 yr Member Yes, I was referring to OLTL. I'm glad you're satisfied. at KA!! I still can't believe she's so bad at grammar!!
September 29, 200718 yr Author Administrator AMC: - Marla Kanelos back listed as Associate Head Writer on September 28 She did both breakdown and script that day.
September 29, 200718 yr Member ...PS- Has anyone noticed that the former Y&R head writer hasn't posted recently? What, who, when? Can you please explain?
September 29, 200718 yr Member It's nothing. I made an accusation which I still stand by to an extent. Dont want to get anything started.
September 29, 200718 yr Member hold the hell on now...... ^. Now that I mention it, you are a BIG fan of Kay Alden, right?
September 29, 200718 yr Member hold the hell on now...... ^. Now that I mention it, you are a BIG fan of Kay Alden, right? Me? Oh my God, I would give an arm for her to return to Y&R! She's my favorite soap writer, defo the best we have out there right now! Has she been posting here? Edited September 29, 200718 yr by YRBB
September 29, 200718 yr Member Just to interject: that writers' strike is looming and could be coming sooner than we think, according to today's New York Times. And it's not looking good. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/29/movies/29writ.html Edited September 29, 200718 yr by Faulkner
September 29, 200718 yr Member Without being too unsympathetic to other soap fans out: Thank god I'm only still watching B&B which has Brad Bell at its helm who won't chime into a strike...
September 29, 200718 yr Member A strike could be good, since many of the hacks will be out of a job temporarily. Of course, the writing on the shows could get worse, but a day without Latham is a good day for me. Who knows, she might actually quit when the strike is over (wishful thinking).
September 29, 200718 yr Member You mean we might get the chance to get rid of JP(ATWT) for a while and in replacement maybe a writer who might look at the history of the show while writing it?
September 29, 200718 yr Member Me? Oh my God, I would give an arm for her to return to Y&R! She's my favorite soap writer, defo the best we have out there right now! Has she been posting here?
