Another good one!

Whitney and Chad's wedding reception was simple and sweet. I loved how Simone caught the bouquet--that was a surprise, considering I figured Kay or Theresa would catch it.

LOVED seeing Norma and Edna go back to form...and Tabby sending them to hell/the basement was nice!!!

The ending with the wedding cake was pure Passions camp brilliance! LOVED it!! :D:D

Third straight good one in a roll.

I liked Edna and Norma being nice for most of their visit but it was nice to see them back to form. I love them either way but I think having them act like their old selves briefly was the way to go this time and it worked. Loved Endora snoring and the end where she saved Tabitha and Tabs sent Edna and Norma to the basement. It seems that was it for Edna and Norma so goodbye to them and until next year

The reception was simple and nice. Loved Simone catching the bouquet and the reference to laws againt gay marriage. Passions really has handled that well. It was a nice surprise since I thought for sure Theresa or Kay would get it. I liked the TC/Whitney and Chad/Eve dances too.

Loved Ethan's line about why there are never any normal parties in Harmony or at the Cranes.

Julian and Ivy were my faves today. Their scream when they woke up together was hilarious and then coming down to the party. I got shades of New Year's a few years ago when Julian and Rebecca came down and Julian was the New Year's baby. Ivy and Rebecca fighting was great and then when they both started hitting him I was LMAO. Ivy kneeing him in the groin and Rebecca's reaction-loved it  . Classic Passions. Loved the little jealous stare from Eve.

The ending was classic Passions too with the body coming out of the cake. I knew once that guy who knew JT showed up it was all going to hit the fan. I also like seeing Gwen and Rebecca so nervous. Gwen asking for Rebecca's flask was a hoot and so was Rebecca looking for a drink when the body came out. Shades of Days' Roman and Kate wedding from a few years ago big time.

Also, saving the best performance for last. Emily Harper rocked. I hope JER continues to play the fallout to the rape. I still hate he did it but this time he is giving the fallout some attention and it's about time. She really did a good job today.

I hope Passions can keep doing this and I am sure they will because they always pull out good shows at this time of year. However, I want them to do this well into 2007 and not just for the holidays and first few weeks of the year. We'll see but I will enjoy this while I can.

I hate that they keep replaying that rape scene, and as good as Emily Harper is, I'm not interested in this storyline and watching Fancy struggle with Luis touching her, and then breaking down and crying in his arms...plus Galen's wooden acting is extra dull next to Emily's performance.

Endora and Tabitha

The wedding is ok. Everyone looks great, I liked that little scene with Kay and Miguel after the bouquet toss, mostly because Heidi was good.

Ivy kicking Julian was a highlight, lol, and then wishing Whitney well, acting like she wasn't wrapped in a sheet - cute.

A body falling out of a cake? I knew it was coming, but I thought it was silly, nevertheless.

Another good episode

Ivy and Julian's scenes were funny and 'Classic' Passions :)

I"m not a Passions fan, but I had my TV on today during the show. I couldn't place it at the time, but the Fancy and Luis scenes just didn't feel right to me. Helena I think you hit it on the head about the actor playing Luis. He was so bad in the scenes that it took away from having any emotional impact at all. I also agree that it is not necessary to show her being raped in flashbacks. I think JER does that sort of thing though because he figures if someone new is watching that he needs to feel them in on what is happening like they couldn't figure it out watching the scene. The cake thing was very silly. Like who would murder someone and then have time to put them in the cake? Dumb.

It's Passions. It's not supposed to be normal.

I get that it is not normal. All I had to do was watch the scenes of Tabitha sending the 2 women to hell to understand that. That is why the show falls flat to me when it tries to do emotional issues. I guess my question is to those who actually enjoy the show: Do you enjoy when Passions tries to deal with such a serious subject like rape? Or when it is doing a murder mystery and it makes no sense that anyone who is a suspect would actually put the person in a cake? Just wondering if those parts of the show seem off to those who enjoy the campiness of the show.

I prefer the camp. I don't want realistic issues portrayed on the show. Save it for Y&R or other CBS soaps. With Fancy's rape, I get that it's Passions' exaggerated version of rape, but I don't enjoy it because it's out of place from the rest of the show.

I'm watching now...will comment while watching.

First of all, however, WHAT is Rebecca doing at Chadney's wedding and reception? How about Gwen, for that matter? They were becoming friends for a short while during the beginning of Jaresa, but they SO aren't friends now after Gwen's deception. The only person from the Hotchkiss circle who should be at that wedding is Ethan -- Chad's BEST FRIEND who should be his freaking BEST MAN. I'm sure a married man CAN physically attend a wedding alone without his wife and mother-in-law by his side. Gwen's and Rebecca's presence was so uncalled for.

LOVE Chadney's song. It reminds us of '99 when we learned that Chad listens not to rap, but mostly to pop and rock music.

OH

MY

GOD.

I have to APPLAUD "Passions" for an EXCELLENT nod to history, having Julian and Ivy come down the stairs, after sex, in skimpy attire before a crowd. This reminds loyal fans of the New Year's celebration at the Crane mansion, when Julian and Rebecca came downstairs as Baby New Year and Father Time.

Oh, dear GOD!! Daytime's biggest shocker!!!!

Edna and Norma were FAKING BEING NICE!!!

@#$@#$@#$$23

I did NOT see that coming.

Dang.

Marianne, in her interview, gave no hint that Norma would turn bad again. I thought she was being genuine!!! Dang it!! Dang it!! DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked Nice Nedna. :(:(

Simone, get OVER yourself. If you really didn't think you should or could get married, you would NOT have gotten in that lineup. Please, girl. I am SO onto you.

As for Norma/Edna, I'm over it. LOVED the ramped up video with Nedna chasing Tabby. Besides, what would a Pash Christmas show be without an attack on Tabby? NEVER-GETS-OLD!!!

Thankfully, bad Norma lasted only a short time.

I loved loved loved Julian and Ivy in today's episode of Passions. I can't say enough good things about the show right now. They are effectively using the cast and they are IMO staying true to what Passions is all about. Simone catching the bouquet was a very nice touch too. Passions is GREAT!
