Home And Away: The 2006 Season Finale

I'm sure there are some people here who download Home And Away episodes, and just wait until you see the season finale for this year! It just aired in Australia on Friday night, and OH. MY. GOD.

I don't want to say anything until you've seen it. Anyone?

It was good. I knew it would be Sally that got stabbed. I was surprised Rocco did it, I thought he was being built up to be a regular. I'm hopeful Cassie really did leave town for good. The christmas pagent was funny, but I love how every year they end it saying it's been a "horrible year".

Did you see the montage for Sally/Kate Ritchie at the end of the show after she was stabbed!? (Not sure if that would have aired on the version you saw). I was gobsmacked when the montage started!

SPOILER:

Cassie isn't going anywhere unfortunately :(

And Rocco was only a 3 month guest character - but I too though he was going to be full time.

BIG SPOILER:

Because the cast have been seen filming at an old jail, and the cast involved with those scenes, it is rumoured that Ric is in jail for killing Rocco because he stabbed Sally.

Do Neighbours and Home & Away only air part of the year?

I'll PM you the site

Yes, they both go on hiatus during the summer, which for them is now. Home and Away typically goes off around the second last week of November, this year they went till 12/1. They come back usually mid January.

I don't follow Neighbours, I think it's pretty bad. But I downloaded 12/1's episode to see what their cliffhanger was, and it advertised shows for this past week.

Neighbours' finale is next Friday. It's going to revolve around a hostage situation and a shooting.

I'm reading conflicting reports about whether or not Sally's leaving H&A. I'm not a regular viewer but I really hope she isn't. H&A is getting a new headwriter/story producer in the New Year and is likely to be headed in a new direction.

Hey Drew, could you pass along that link to me, too? I'm wanting to get in on watching some of these.

I cant see it going through too drastic a change.

I remember Mitch Firth from when he played Sam(?) back in 2000. He's been a director there ever since leaving.

I don't think it will mutate into a different show but the Daniel Bennett darkness will most likely not continue from what I've read. The weekly near death experiences, hostage situations, natural disasters, Morag-pegs-someone-as-a-psycho-and-gets-pushed-down-the-stairs stories.

I'm not fussed either way. They create some excitement and buzz and have made H&A a guilty pleasure but I know there was press backlash when the wedding explosion, helicopter crash and pyromaniac all occurred one after the other.

I don't think it's Mitch Firth (Seb) is it? Could be wrong. I know the guy who played Mitch years ago is the one taking over as series producer (I'm not entirely sure what the role entails). But as yet, there's not been an announcement as to who's taking over Daniel Bennett's headwriting role. I think Coral Drouyn was approached (she did Kane/Kirsty, Angie Russell) and refused and I'm pretty sure they won't touch Bevan Lee again after Headland was such a failure. Apparently there's going to be a couple of months of interim writers until they make the announcement.

I think for the most part it has kept the show interesting, and ratings high, so Im sure part of it will remain.

I did get it confused. Cameron Welsh is the new series producer, who played Mitch.

Oh I have a question about an Aussie Show. I used to watch McCleod's Daughters when it aired here in the US. And It got all the way up until season 3, I think, Claire Died, which I thought was a stupid idea. Then for some reason The ntework that aired it cancelled it. Is it possible to download the shows from somwhere? I always wondered if Tess ever got it together and got back with Nick.
