From the Dec. 5 issue of Soap Opera Digest:

ATWT's Dusty Shoots Craig

Craig knew all about Dusty's plan to come after him with a gun last week, which is why he sent Emily to switch the bullets with blanks. What he doesn't know -- that Paul switched them back -- is what almost kills him this week on ATWT, but for the grace of Lucy. "Sometimes, life gets dark," understates Grayson McCouch (Dusty). "Dusty's in a predicament. Craig has no business near his kid, and he really gave him no options. Dusty tells him he doesn't want to kill him. All he has to do is rip up the custody papers and walk away. But Craig snubs him, and then Dusty guns him down." Luckily for Craig, Lucy shows up just before he pulls the trigger and knocks into him, messing up his aim. "Dusty doesn't want Lucy to be there to witness that he's going to shoot him. She throws his game off just enough to have fate save this guy's life. Dusty blows his chest out, but the fact that he doesn't die is really heartbreaking."

"Thank God for children, otherwise it would have been a very short stint. It's just a minor glitch, getting shot in the chest," laughs Jeff Meek (Craig), whose character doesn't get much sympathy in the hospital. "Everyone should be treating him very nicely because he's wounded, but no one seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. They're trying to blame Craig for Craig getting shot, which he doesn't understand." Margo guesses that Craig had some sort of plan that went awry; he's also trying to figure out what went wrong. "There are several people who could have done it. The biggest red flag is Emily," says Meek. Em swears she reloaded the gun with blanks as instructed, which pretty much leaves Paul, who attempts to finish off a weakened Craig himself by smothering him with a pillow. "The rat bastard!" jokes the actor. "Craig's pretty out of it; it's right after the shooting. He doesn't take too kindly to that." But Craig focuses his vengeance on Dusty, who remains remorseless about his actions, despite his arrest for the crime (thanks to Lucy's eyewitness account). Meek concludes, "Now, it's just a question of who gets who first."

Casting About/Grapevine section

With ATWT's Dusty in serious legal trouble and on the (presumed) outs with Lucy, speculation has it that he might turn to his former captor EMILY next. "Who's gonna team up with a dude in the slammer?" grins portrayer Grayson McCouch. "I'm sure he'll want to be romantically involved with just about anybody."

Nov. 29 -- The heat rises between Jade and Adam.

Nov. 30 -- Lily overhears Holden's mysterious phone conversation.

Dec. 5 -- Will learns that Gwen has been keeping a secret.

Vienna makes Simon a tempting proposal.

Katie turns to Henry once again to help get to the bottom of a mystery.

Emily goes to great lengths to stop Paul and Meg's wedding.

From the Dec. 5 issue of Soap Opera Weekly:

ATWT: Craig is Shot!

Dusty shoots Craig this week on ATWT, landing Craig in the hospital and Dusty right where Craig wants him: in jail. "It's a bit violent," admits Jeff Meek (Craig). "Emily is Craig's go-between and henchwoman. She helps him manipulate the weapon [with blanks] so he can get Dusty to the point where he's threatening him with the gun." What the partners in crime don't count on is Paul switching the blanks with real bullets. "Dusty has no idea there was a switch made," notes Meek. "His total intent is murder. He's sacrificing himself [for Johnny]." So when Dusty confronts Craig and demands he tear up his custody petition for Johnny, "Craig pushes," previews Meek. "Craig pushes for his goal, and it is achieved." With the nasty side effect of Craig getting shot. Fortunately, Lucy arrives on the scene just in time to help her wounded dad -- AND GIVE DUSTY UP TO THE COPS. Don't expect Craig to be out of commission for long, though. "Are you kidding?" winks Meek. "Gear up. It's gonna be a fight."

Week of Nov. 27:

Gwen catches Adam and Jade with their pants down.

Holden soothes Lily's doubts.

Simon orders Katie to back off.

Jack makes a call to Vienna.

Paul has a little pillow talk with Craig. (Nov. 29)

Week of Dec. 4:

Will learns Gwen has been keeping a secret. Carly can't escape her crime.

From the Dec. 4 issue of the National Enquirer:

Week of Dec. 4:

LOL

A Dusty/Emily pairing just does not make sense! What viewer in his or her right mind is going to find this pairing at all realistic?

Isn't this the same woman who, less than a year ago, chained him up and had him drink water out of a dog bowl? Not to mention all the threats (both physical and verbal) that he had made to her afterwards.

Seriously...what are the writers smoking?!
